  • Patent number: 8218579
Abstract: A self-adaptive jitter buffer adjustment method for packet-switched network is presented in this invention, which involves both positive adjustment to jitter buffer and negative adjustment to jitter buffer. The positive adjustment part performs a positive adjustment to the jitter buffer according to an indication of a sequence number of the packet delaying, to absorb larger network jitters by dynamically detecting sequence numbers of the packets in the jitter buffer. The negative adjustment part performs a negative adjustment to the jitter buffer when the filling level descends, to match smaller network jitters by periodically detecting a filling level of the jitter buffer. This invention realizes the dynamic tracking of network jitter, so that a self-adaptive adjustment to the jitter buffer working parameters can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7821983
Abstract: The present invention discloses a comprehensive dynamic management scheme of HS-DSCH channel codes, which comprises the steps of: determining a remainder HS-DSCH channel resource of a system when a new HS-DSCH bearer service request is received; calculating a required HS-DSCH channel resource for the new service request; comparing the current system remainder HS-DSCH channel resource with the required HS-DSCH channel resource for the new service request; determining whether there is a need to add new HS-DSCH channel codes based on comparison results, assigning new codes or switching the service request into DCH channel for data transmission in accordance with the actual usage of the current code tree; when the existing HS-DSCH bearer service is completed, calculating a current system HS-DSCH channel resource usage ratio and hysteresis then comparing it with a predefined threshold, and determining whether there is a need to withdraw channel codes based on the results of comparison.

  • Patent number: 7583702
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of transmitting a first signal and a second signal in a wideband code-division multiple access network, wherein a probability of the appearance of signal bit “1” or “0” in each signal of the first signal and the second signal is remarkably higher than a probability of the appearance of “0” or “1”, the method including: a step of determining constellation points, for determining combinations of different states of the first signal and the second signal and for determining each combination as a constellation point; a step of determining locations of constellation points, for determining a location of each constellation point on I-Q plane based on a priori knowledge of said combination; and a step of transmission, for, after modulating said different combinations in different ways according to the location of each constellation point, transporting them to a user equipment via a physical channel.

  • Publication number: 20060128433
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of transmitting a notification indicator of multimedia broadcast/multicast services in wideband code-division multiple access, the method including: a step of extracting notification indicator information by a radio network controller from a notification message of the multimedia broadcast/multicast services; a step of transmitting the notification indicator information to physical layer and building a notification indicator channel frame via a frame protocol layer; and a step of transmitting the notification indicator channel frame to user terminals via a physical channel. According to the method of transmitting a notification indicator of the present invention, user terminals can accurately read the notification indicator within the time length of one frame, so that the false alarm ratio and transmission power of the notification indicator are reduced.
