The WAALM extracts, from a clinical application and tool initiation request, clinical application and tool information for a first clinical taskflow, and connects, with at least a first clinical application initiated in response to the clinical application and tool initiation request, at least a first clinical tool based on the extracted clinical application and tool information, the first clinical tool being independent of the first clinical application.

Abstract: A transfer method, a system and a product are disclosed for transferring security-critical medical image data records with PHI sections from a source application to a destination application. In an embodiment, the method accesses a PKI infrastructure that provides a user-specific key for each user. Following detection of a copy command for at least one image data record in the source application, a data convolute is produced, including an anonymized and an encrypted image data record, which are forwarded to a trader module and/or a memory module. After a pasted command is detected, the key is used to access the clipboard and/or the memory module in order to decrypt the image data record from the encrypted image data record and to paste it (for a secure destination application), and/or to access the anonymized image data record and to paste it (for a nonsecure destination application).

Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed for operating a data processing network which includes a plurality of geographically spaced-apart data centers and a large number of client computers, data being transmittable between each of the client computers and at least to one of the data centers, wherein one or more virtual servers is operateable in each of the data centers. According to at least one embodiment, access data is collected including information on geographical location of the client, geographical location of the virtual servers and the degree of utilization of the virtual servers. The access data collected is analyzed and, using the result of analysis, a migration plan, which is improved with respect to the mean latency, is created for the deployment of the virtual servers among the data centers. The virtual servers are migrated between the data centers in accordance with the migration plan.
