    Abstract: A reaction device for processing biological material and especially for processing material containing polypeptides and/or polynucleotides. The reaction device includes a first reaction chamber (50) and a second reaction chamber (51) that are connected via a first transition region (5). The first transition region also includes a narrowing cross-section. The cover of the reaction vessel is in the form of a reaction chamber. The biological materials introduced into the reaction chamber are displaced by the effect of a force, especially by gravitation, between the reaction chambers of the reaction device.
