  • Patent number: 6880820
Abstract: A device for conveying and depositing paper on at least one stack, with a device (27) for moving conveyor rollers (1) laterally in the conveying direction of the sheets and a device (28) for transmitting rotations to conveyor rollers (1), in particular to operate within a depositing device of a sheet-processing machine. In order to ensure a quicker lateral movement of conveyor rollers (1) and to protect the devices (27) and (28) from soiling and mechanical effects, members of the same are located within a rod (2), on which conveyor rollers (1) are located. Furthermore, there are possibilities to calibrate the device with respect to the position of conveyor rollers (1) and to adjust height differences within a stack with tensionless equalization.

  • Patent number: 6859292
Abstract: An apparatus for point by point and line by line scanning of originals or documents includes a fixed, transparent original carrier for an original. An illumination carrier is disposed above and parallel to the original carrier. An illumination unit is fixed to the illumination carrier for illuminating the original line by line. A base carrier parallel to the illumination carrier is disposed under the original carrier and an optoelectronic scanning head for converting scanning light into picture signals is fixed thereon. The illumination carrier and the base carrier are interconnected by a U-shaped connecting element. The connecting element has a rotary joint for pivoting the illumination carrier away from the original carrier with the illumination unit to facilitate access to the original carrier. The illumination unit and the scanning head perform a perpendicularly oriented feed movement in relation to scanning lines through the use of linear guides, in order to scan a surface of the original.

  • Publication number: 20020131805
Abstract: A paper store in a printing machine. Printing material, in particular paper, can become wavy and deform as a result of the action of changing temperatures and, in particular, high atmospheric humidity. This causes paper blockages in the printing machine and impairs the printed result. This problem occurs, in particular in the paper store, since here paper sheets are sometimes stored for a relatively long time outside their packaging. Therefore, a paper store is provided, which always preserves printing material without impairing its condition, being enclosed in a substantially airtight manner.

  • Publication number: 20020012037
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for transport of stock for a printing unit. The stock, in the form of paper or film, is taken up in different feeds (1, 2, 3). Inputs (26, 27, 28) are connected to them to introduce the stock into the stock feed path (7). The stock passes through a number of processing stations (6, 8, 11, 14, 22) along its stock feed path (7). The stock feed path (7, 13) contains a number of shunts (10, 17, 24) for the stock, with which unprinted stock passes through individual processing stations (6, 8, 11, 14, 29) or can be transported past them, can be fed to different delivery sites (18, 19) and/or already printed stock can be reintroduced to the stock feed sequence via a turning (22).

  • Patent number: 4742401
Abstract: An opto-electronic scanning head for drum and flat bed scanning apparatus for point-by-point and line-by-line scanning of opaque and transparent originals which are illuminated point-by-point. The housing of the scanning head 7 has a front panel 9 which is displaceable along the optical axis 12 of the scanning objective lens 11 and has a housing part which is stationary with respect to the optical axis 12. The scanning objective 11 is mounted in the front panel 9, but the diaphragm 13 and the opto-electronic transducer 14 are mounted in the housing portion 8. The scanning objective 11 can be displaced over a broad range with a sensitive adjustment mechanism for the front panel 9 so that the focus range can always be placed into the image plane of the originals and thus optimum image sharpness can be achieved for originals having all different thicknesses.
