  • Patent number: 7978914
Abstract: The invention relates to an image processing system for omnidirectional reading of optical patterns, for example of one-dimensional and two-dimensional codes. One object is to provide an image processing system which ensures high resolution with rapid processing at the same time in order, in particular, to allow processing in video real time and to provide reliable identification of the image information, in particular reliable and low-error edge detection, segmentation and object association. According to the invention, this is achieved by the use of a plurality of convolvers, which operate in parallel and/or using the time-division multiplexing method, for convolution of the digital image data, of a neighborhood processor (90) for reading and linking contour points (22), and/or of a statistical processor for reading a segment list.

  • Publication number: 20070120844
Abstract: A method for configuring, on the basis of only a small number of reference images, image processing systems for the inspection of objects on the basis of geometric primitives extracted from the camera images in video real-time, by a user who is inexperienced in image processing but thinks technically-geometrically and is versed in the function of the objects to be inspected. In this case, the user's semantic knowledge is incorporated into the otherwise automatic calculation of the classifiers for the tolerant and positionally invariant recognition of the objects by virtue of the user, by means of an input device, deleting or else weighting the geometric primitives that are unsuitable for the classification selectively on the graphical interface.

  • Patent number: 6449036
Abstract: A sensor unit (50), a device, and a process for inspection of a surface (10′, 10&Dgr;) of an object (10) for the purpose of identifying surface characteristics, such as structural defects. The device contains an emitting module (51) and a receiving module (52). The emitting module emits at least one beam bundle (6, 6′, 6″). The receiving module has at least one light receiver (15, 16, 20). A rotating polygonal mirror wheel (2) is located in the focal point of a parabolic mirror (1). A beam bundle (6) of the laser (3, 4) is directed onto the mirror (1) by means of a telecentric lens, which guides the emitter and receiver beam on the same optical axis, whereby the parabolic mirror (1) guides the deflected beam bundle (6, 6′, 6″) under a constant angle relative to the axis of symmetry (7) of the parabolic mirror (1) along a scanning line (23, 24) over the object (10).

  • Patent number: 5726776
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to an arrangement for the synchronization of the image recording of monochrome recordings and color recordings with photosensitive line sensors. A line-scanning pattern is generated by a programmable counter arrangement, wherein the timer measures the phase position of the line-scanning pattern, generated by the counter arrangement, with the aid of the computer and the programmable counter arrangement at the point in time of the impinging of a pulse of the incremental transmitter, wherein the timer compares these with a coordinated calculated or tabulated reference value, and wherein the timer employs the thus obtained phase difference in order to influence a counter, preconnected to the line counter CT2, in its count volume (FIGS. 1 and 2).
