Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method of building a data warehouse. In an embodiment, the method comprises: receiving extract input parameters for extracting data from a source data file; building a communications channel to a selected one of a plurality of source database management systems containing the source data file in dependence upon the received extract input parameters; extracting data from the selected source data file and storing the extracted data into a staging table; receiving transform and load input parameters for transforming data stored in the staging table and loading the transformed data into a data warehouse table; and selecting pre-built modules for building the data warehouse with the data warehouse tables loaded with the transformed data in dependence upon the selected source database management system and the received extract, transform and load input parameters.
