An interface lock feature may be enabled at the multimedia device, and when the predetermined input is received at the multimedia device, an input interface of the multimedia device may be enabled or disabled. When the input interface of the multimedia device is disabled, a control device such as a remote control unit may be precluded from operating with the multimedia device.
