Publication number: 20250200631Abstract: The present teaching relates to recommendation. Current event information and historic sequence data are received. The former characterizes a current event involving a user and user's interactions with a user interface (UI). The latter includes UIs and corresponding user interactions thereon with corresponding performance data. A task sentence is created with multiple tokens, each of which corresponds to a task. The current event information, the historic sequence data, and the task sentence are used for predicting a next item to be recommended via a mixture of expert (MoE) prediction model, trained via multi-task learning. The next item is recommended to the user on the UI.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2023Publication date: June 19, 2025Applicant: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Cangcheng Tang, Luyang Wang

Publication number: 20250120988Abstract: The present invention provides a small molecule compound for treating ischemic stroke, which is 4-(phenyl (phosphinoyl) methyl) piperazine-2-carboxylic acid. This small molecule compound can completely block the activation of ASICs by glutamate, and partially block the activation of NMDARs by glutamate, achieving the purpose of not affecting the physiological function of NMDARs, thereby reducing the side effects of mental symptoms and even mortality in stroke patients, and providing an effective strategy for treating ischemic stroke. In addition, the synthesis method of this small molecule compound is simple, which can reduce the cost of the pharmaceutical and has good application prospects.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2023Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Shankai YIN, Haibo SHI, Ke LAI, Hanwei LIU, Zhenqi LIU, Luyang WANG

Publication number: 20240203248Abstract: This technology provides an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Intelligent Driving System (IDS) that uses weather information or special information to provide vehicle operation or control. The Onboard Unit (OBU) uses a traffic control center/traffic control unit (TCC/TCU) communication module or a roadside unit (RSU) communication module to receive vehicle-specific targeted weather information and/or special information at the Guidance Level of vehicle driving tasks from the TCC/TCU or the RSU. The special information comprises activity, accidents, and hazards/obstacles information. The vehicle control module enhances driving safety by integrating vehicle-specific weather, pavement condition, activity, accidents, and hazards/obstacles information.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2024Publication date: June 20, 2024Inventors: Bin Ran, Xiaoying Yi, Luyang Wang, Junwei You, Eric Ran, Yang Cheng, Tianyi Chen, Shen Li, Jing Jin, Xiaoxuan Chen, Fan Ding, Zhen Zhang

Publication number: 20240115541Abstract: The invention provides a method for treating cerebral apoplexy and hyperbilirubinemia by the compound or reagent for competitively inhibiting or blocking combination of bilirubin and the TRPM2 channel. The compound or the reagent is competitively combined with the D1069 residue of TRPM2 channel (the analogous D1066 residue of the mouse TRPM2). It is verified that bilirubin can serve as an extracellular endogenous agonist to be directly combined with the TRPM2 channel to aggravate brain tissue damage caused by stroke and hyperbilirubinemia, K928 and/or D1069 residues are key amino acid residues for playing roles. When the K928 and/or D1069 residues are mutated or competitively combined, the bilirubin is prevented from activating the TRPM2 channel; wherein D1069 residue mutation can effectively antagonize the nerve injury effect caused by bilirubin, which would be a therapeutic target for relieving and treating ischemic stroke and hyperbilirubinemia related brain damage.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Shankai YIN, Haibo SHI, Hanwei LIU, Ke LAI, Luyang WANG

Patent number: 10853125Abstract: An offload engine may attempt to offload, on behalf of applications, data operations to be performed on a datastream. The offload engine may intercept one or more data operations, such as may be part of a collections API, performed by an application. The data operations and the datastream may be specified and/or provided by the application and, in response, the offload engine may be configured to execute (or attempt to execute) the data operations on the datastream using an analytics accelerating co-processor rather than using a general purpose CPU core. The offload engine may determine whether or not to offload the data operations to the analytics accelerating co-processor. If the offload is unsuccessful or if the offload engine determines that the data operations are not suitable for offloading, the offload engine may then cause the data operations to be performed using general purpose CPU cores on the system.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2016Date of Patent: December 1, 2020Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Karthik Ganesan, Shrinivas B.
