  • Patent number: 10691933
Abstract: Method by a computer of a computing system having a plurality of camera sensors and a camera sensor control system is provided. A gesture input event is identified that is detected by a camera sensor of the camera sensors. Each camera sensor routes video captured by the camera sensor to a data storage system. The first gesture input event is identified as corresponding to a defined attention-based gesture performed by a user. A time the first gesture input event was identified is determined. Video stored in the data storage system is fetched using the time that is determined as a pointer. An indication of the first gesture input event and the video that is fetched is transmitted towards an emergency call center (ECC). A trigger word or sound may be detected, and an indication of the trigger word or sound may be transmitted towards the ECC.

  • Publication number: 20200110859
Abstract: An account server receives from a user terminal an access request message containing an account identifier. A security question is retrieved from an accounts database. An authentication query message containing the security question is communicated toward the user terminal. A registered text counting rule that is associated with the account identifier is retrieved from the accounts database. Text of the security question is processed using the registered text counting rule to generate a computed security number. An authentication response message containing an answer from the user to the security question is received. A determination is made whether the answer from the user matches the computed security number. The operations selectively allow electronic access by the user terminal to information stored in a data structure associated with the account identifier within the accounts database, based on whether the answer contained in the authentication response message matches the computed security number.

  • Publication number: 20200104824
Abstract: A system can include a database, a communication interface, a processing circuit, and a memory. The processing circuit can receive a request from a remote user device to set an authentication password for a transaction and receive first encrypted keypoints associated with a first image of a portable object. The processing circuit can decrypt the first encrypted keypoints to generate first keypoints and store the first keypoints as the authentication password. The processing circuit can receive an authentication request from the remote user device to use the authentication password to authenticate the user of the remote device to complete the transaction. The processing circuit can receive second encrypted keypoints associated with a second image of the portable object and can decrypt the second encrypted keypoints to generate second keypoints. The processing circuit can determine whether the second keypoints match the first keypoints and can transmit authorization of the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20200098339
Abstract: A method of performing operations on a processor of an electronic device includes obtaining motion data from a sensor that characterizes motion of the electronic device. The operations filter the motion data to identify a component of the motion caused by Parkinson's disease. The operations determine direction and distance for panning displayed information to at least partially compensate for the identified component of the motion. The operations tracking in real-time a phase of sensed motion. The operations control panning of information that is displayed on a display device responsive to the determined direction and distance and responsive to the phase of the sensed motion.

  • Publication number: 20200090146
Abstract: A merchant device receives a request message from a user terminal as part of a payment processing transaction with the merchant. The request message contains code data representing optical machine-readable code (OMRC) that has been read by the user terminal. The OMRC is representative of a payment processing account and allows the user terminal to complete the transaction with the merchant by directing the payment processor to transfer funds to the payment processing account associated with the OMRC. The merchant device determines, based on the code data, whether the payment processing account represented by the OMRC is an authorized payment processing account, and wirelessly transmits a response message to the user terminal indicative of whether the user terminal is permitted to use the payment processing account for the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20200074442
Abstract: A transaction authorization server receives an optical machine-readable code (OMRC) request message from a merchant terminal, which includes a transaction reference number, a transaction time, a transaction amount, and a merchant identifier associated with the merchant terminal. OMRC information is generated based on a combination of the transaction reference number and the transaction time. An OMRC response message is generated containing the OMRC information and sent toward the merchant terminal. The OMRC information is stored in a data structure with an association to the merchant identifier. An OMRC verification message is received from a user terminal, and is selectively validated based on the OMRC information that was stored. When validated, the server sends to the user terminal an OMRC validation message containing an indication that the decoded OMRC information is valid, the transaction amount, and the merchant identifier.

  • Publication number: 20190251250
Abstract: An application executing on a computer system may detect an account sign-up page for a new online account. The application may further capture account credentials entered by a user for the new online account. The application may attempt to login to one or more other online accounts using information based on the account credentials entered for the new online account. In response to logging in to at least one of the other online accounts using the information based on the account credentials, the application may request a change in the account credentials before the account credentials are submitted for the new online account.
