  • Publication number: 20230249413
Abstract: A mat of one or more tiles of desired shape is provided. The mat is produced from a production mat manufactured as an integral unit with multiple tiles connected together according to various embodiments of this invention. The production mat may be divided into one or more mats of desired shape and size by severing the production mat between adjacent tiles. As such, the production mat may be cut into discrete mats, each having one or more tiles according to this invention. The entirety of the production mat is used as one or more mats according to aspects of this invention thereby avoiding waste and/or recycling of any portion of the production mat while utilizing each of the tiles in the production mat as part of the resulting mat(s). This avoids the need for any supplemental or auxiliary connecting means for joining two adjacent tiles to form a mat.

  • Patent number: 11643814
Abstract: A flooring installation includes at least two floor supports separated from one another by a span distance, the floor supports each having lateral, vertical side walls between which an opening is defined. A bay is defined between the floor supports. A primary subfloor is supported atop and attached to one of the at least two floor supports, the primary subfloor including an overhanging portion overhanging a portion of the bay. A spanning brace is disposed between the at least two floor supports in the bay, the spanning brace engaging on opposing ends the lateral, vertical side walls of the floor supports, one end of the spanning brace extending beneath and spaced from the overhanging portion of the primary subfloor. A recessed subfloor panel is supported atop the spanning brace, the recessed subfloor panel being supported at a lower elevation than the overhanging portion of the adjacent, primary subfloor.

  • Publication number: 20200288647
Abstract: A landscape edging installation includes ends of landscape edging joined together by a connector. The connector may have holes in lugs that are aligned with holes in the landscape edging tabs to receive a ground spike therethrough. The connector allows for and conceals a gap between the adjacent edging pieces. Thus, the arrangement allows for movement, such as contraction and expansion of the edging pieces along a length thereof. Such movement prevents damage to, or improper shifting of the landscape edging installation with respect to the surrounding environment due to large changes in temperature of the installation.
