  • Patent number: 9945400
Abstract: A vapor transport device can include a tube, a first cap positioned at a first region of the tube, a second cap positioned at a second region of the tube, and a piston positioned between the first cap and the second cap so as to divide the tube into a first chamber of variable size that extends between the first cap and the piston and a second chamber of variable size that extends between the piston and the second cap. The vapor transport device can further include a drive shaft connected to the piston and extending through the second cap, and can also include one or more one-way valves.

  • Patent number: 9745030
Abstract: An alerting device can be attached to one or more tow lines for towing a watersport participant via a watercraft. In some instances, the alerting device can be spaced from the watersport participant and the watercraft during use. The alerting device can be deployed automatically, such as when tension in the one or more tow lines is reduced due to the participant being downed in the water so as to no longer be towed.

  • Patent number: 8991165
Abstract: Energy recovery systems can utilize waste heat from an internal combustion engine or other base energy conversion system in the operation of hydrogen processors. Some energy recovery systems can utilize more than one source of waste heat from the energy converting system for this purpose.

  • Publication number: 20150048021
Abstract: In some arrangements, a separation device can receive a discharge from a sink or garbage disposal unit and separate the discharge into a fluid portion and a solids portion. The separation device can include an inlet for receiving the discharge and an outlet for passing the fluid portion to a waste line. The separation device can include a screen that collects the solids portion and that permits the fluid portion to pass through the screen.

  • Patent number: 7185047
Abstract: A system and method for caching and accessing rights in a distributed computing system is disclosed. An agent, that is located on a Distributed Deputization Point (DPP) parses a directory service. The agent then updates the rights to an Access Control List (ACL) cache. The ACL cache then receives, from an authenticated user, a request for the rights. The ACL cache retrieves the rights and forwards them to the user. The user may now access certain resources based on the rights it has obtained the first time it accesses these resources. Additionally, if the user attempts to access certain resources that are not contained in the ACL cache, a resource manger is invoked which provides the access control rights for the missing resources to the ACL cache.
