  • Patent number: 6607326
Abstract: A planetary sphere/ring gear, comprising a sphere and a ring, which are interconnected by a ball and a socket. The ball is located on the edge of a circular opening in the ring and the socket is located on the body of the sphere. Used in conjunction with this planetary sphere/ring gear is a pedal-powered three or more wheeled vehicle which comprises a chain wheel, and pedals which swivel and which swing on a cradle. An operator's seat also swings on said cradle. Even though traversing across slopes, the chain wheel, pedals and seat are in a straight-with-the-world position, which is a natural and comfortable position for pedaling. The planetary sphere/ring gear is needed in the vehicle to allow the toothed ring, with a drive chain around it, to change its axis to line up with the drive wheel, as it swivels and swings.

  • Patent number: 6546587
Abstract: A cleaning wand that enables one to wipe off or wipe up materials such as paint, oil, grease, chemicals, hazardous materials, etc. with a hands-off action. The wand comprises a gripping surface (12) inside the front end of a main body tube (20) that effectively holds a folded center section of a household paper towel or a cloth while being used. A flexible front-end piece (10), comprising a hole through its center, is attached around and flush with the front end of the wand. This flexible piece (triangular) provides resistance to bending so that forceful wiping-up is possible. The wand comprises a built-in plunger (22) that enables a user to push out the used paper towel or cloth. The whole mess is then dropped into a garbage can or pail. All this action is done without getting any of the material on one's hands. In some cases serious injury could be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6390112
Abstract: A tent door is hinged (44) and spring assisted to close the door and hold the door in a closed position against a bug-stopping weather-strip (18) attached to the surface of a door stop along the inside perimeter of a door frame. After entering or exiting a tent, a latch (74) on the inside surface of a door is needed only for security reasons. A tent door/tent door frame unit can be permanently attached around a tent's wall opening allowing the unit to fold around and with a rolled up tent. Folding of the unit is permitted by the removal of rigidity poles (61) from backbone columns (30). Because of the ease of entering and exiting a tent and of the convenience of folding the tent door/tent door frame unit around a rolled up tent, use of a tent so equipped becomes a pleasure.

  • Patent number: 6149485
Abstract: A collapsible toy building block with strong board members. Base board (12) and roof board (10) interconnect loosely with frame boards (24)(24A). Frame boards set loosely in channel (26) that is formed by, short in length, projecting spacers (18) that run parallel to flanges (14),(16) that are along the front and back ends of base (12) and roof (10). A building block of this construction can be combined with other identical building blocks or a variety of other building blocks, that have the same widths, to build toy buildings of many different configurations. The loosely fitting members, of a building block of this type, permit a building block or toy building constructed of building blocks to be knocked down flat by an outside force.
