  • Patent number: 11937534
Abstract: An agricultural product delivery applicator for delivering particulate product to a field. The applicator includes a supply compartment to hold the product, a pneumatic conveying system, a metering system, and a controller. The pneumatic conveying system includes first delivery line operably connected to an airflow source and to the supply compartment, and a second delivery line operably connected to the airflow source and to the supply compartment. The metering system includes a first metering device associated with the first delivery line and a second metering device associate with the second delivery line. The controller controls the air flow source, the first metering device to meter product to result in a first mixed flow of airflow and product for the first delivery line, and the second metering device to meter product with the airflow to result in a second mixed flow of airflow and product for the second delivery line.

  • Publication number: 20220272960
Abstract: An intelligent, automated system for loading agricultural product application equipment is provided in which a control system can determine a necessary amount of product for completing a field operation and can automatically couple with a tendering system to receive such product at an optimal time and location. The control system can determine a current amount of product, a projected amount of product necessary to complete a field operation and a refill amount of product from the current amount and the projected amount, then transmit the refill amount to the tender. The control system can further determine whether a position of the equipment relative to the tender is within a threshold, and whether an intake coupler of the equipment is connected to a supply coupler of the tender, and can control valve(s) to open and close channel(s) for loading fluid into the storage tank.

  • Publication number: 20210205832
Abstract: The invention provides a control system configured to start/stop metering of particulate material, upon command from a user, or according to a prescription map, with calculated sequencing and delays for starting/stopping boom sections, in order to achieve a substantially uniform distribution of material along a target line. In one aspect, following a command to stop metering, programming of when meters (corresponding to booms sections) turn off is updated to follow a delayed order according to multiple parameters, including ground speed of the machine, and flow of material, as determined by type of material, fan speed, tube diameter and tube length. The control system can dynamically account for such parameters to determine timing for when boom sections are selectively enabled/disabled to achieve the substantially uniform distribution.

  • Publication number: 20050202860
Abstract: A foldable extension for an unloading door of a cotton receiving receptacle of cotton harvester which, when in a deployed position, increases the overall length of the door and directs cotton conveyed over the extension in a downward direction so as to facilitate more precise placement in a receiving receptacle. The extension does not have to be folded to its stored position each time the unloading door is closed, and when folded into its stored positions, does not increase the overall height of the harvester or interfere with telescopic operation of upper and lower portions of the basket.
