  • Patent number: 4733638
Abstract: A security starting system for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a portable hand-held transmitting device carried in the passenger compartment of the vehicle; by the operator and a receiving device located in the housing of the starter in the engine compartment of the vehicle. An operator desiring to start the vehicle actuates the transmitter. When the receiver detects the transmitted signal, it produces an electrical signal which closes a switch connected in series to the motor vehicle ignition system thereby allowing the ignition switch of the ignition system to start the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4031721
Abstract: An anti-theft and adjustable mounting assembly to attach a CB radio transceiver onto the instrument cowl of a vehicle. Attached to the opposite sides of the casing of the CB radio device by threaded fasteners are U-shaped members which extend between the legs of complementally-shaped upstanding side members forming part of a U-shaped frame. Threaded shafts in stationary blocks are used to adjustably control the position of U-shaped spacer members and, hence, the CB radio transceiver relative to the upstanding side members. An open-ended housing receives the U-shaped frame while supporting the casing of a CB radio transceiver. An L-shaped cover spacer extends downwardly within the housing from the top wall to close any gap between the CB radio transceiver and the housing. A lock box on the housing receives a lug on the frame for interlocking engagement by a key-operated lock.

  • Patent number: 3994148
Abstract: An anti-theft and mounting assembly is employed to attach a CB radio receiver and transmitter onto the instrument cowl of a vehicle. The radio casing is secured to the side members of a U-shaped frame that also includes a bottom plate used to support an outwardly projecting lug carrying a key-operated lock. A rectangularly-shaped housing receives and supports the U-shaped frame together with the casing of the CB radio. A lock box on the bottom wall of the housing is totally enclosed by the lug and a stop plate in the box cooperates with the lock mechanism to interconnect the U-shaped frame and the housing while at the same time the lock permits authorized removal of the CB radio should the vehicle remain unattended for long periods of time.

  • Patent number: 3977973
Abstract: A fry kettle is divided by an internal crosswall to define an oil storage compartment having a heating element submerged in the oil for cooking foods. Crumbs and other contaminants are separated from the cooking oil by continuously drawing off a small portion of the oil from the storage compartment through an opening in the crosswall into an integral filter compartment where the oil passes through openings into a crumb catcher which is carried by a removable frame adjacent the internal crosswall and above a manually-operated flow control valve. The valve includes a valve stem projecting to the top of the kettle where it can be positioned to terminate the flow of oil through a passageway in a subfloor that is spaced above the bottom wall of a filter compartment.
