Abstract: Personalized reading materials are created and used to promote reading literacy in young readers. The personalized reading materials, which can be created through computer interfaces, include words to be learned, as well as personalized images of the child learning the words. The child is then repeatedly exposed to the learning materials, which can include, among other things, combinations of labels, flashcards, reading books, workbooks and so forth.
