  • Patent number: 8376531
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for use with printers and imaging apparatus. An actuator is supported on a shaft about which it can rotate through a range of arc. A spring biases the actuator so as to bring a valve pad into sealing contact with a plurality of nozzles. A lever arm of the actuator is operable by way of force contact so as to rotate the actuator and angularly displace the valve pad out of contact with the nozzles. Simultaneous opening or closing of the nozzles is performed by way of corresponding angular displacements of the actuator.
