  • Publication number: 20180072506
Abstract: A conveyer system mountable to an installation floor defined by a conveyance path has a plurality of stationary subdecks mounted to the installation floor and extending along the conveyance path. A plurality of elongate floor slats extend along the conveyance path, with each elongate floor slats being in interlocked sliding engagement with a respective one of the stationary subdecks. A plurality of floating inner slat side seals extend along the conveyance path, and are disposed between, and in interlocked sliding engagement with adjacent ones of the elongate floor slats. Outer slat side seals extend along the conveyance path and abutting against outermost ones of the plurality of elongate floor slats, with the outer slat slide seal being mounted to a sidewall of the installation floor.

  • Patent number: 9266682
Abstract: System and method for controlling a moving floor having multiple sliding slats, to produce a practically continuous load-moving force on a load carried on the apparatus. The slats are reciprocated back and forth by hydraulic cylinders, each of which controls a group of slats that are moved together. At any given time, a majority of the slats are moving together in the desired direction, and carry a load in this direction at a nearly uniform velocity. The remainder of the slats are moved in a reverse direction at the same time. The movement of the slats is controlled by an infinite piston positioning feedback system.

  • Publication number: 20110056805
Abstract: A hydraulic moving floor actuator in a slat-type reciprocating moving floor system having movable floor slats arranged side-by-side in parallel, with each slat extending longitudinally along a conveyance path and interconnected with other slats to form groups of slats which may be extended or retracted in unison or one group at a time, that includes a fluid power cylinder controllably moving each group of interconnected slats and hydraulic circuitry that provides fluid communication between the rod side and the head side of each cylinder and causes extension of the cylinder when pressurized hydraulic fluid acts simultaneously upon the rod and head sides of the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4989495
Abstract: The hydraulic piston cylinder assembly which operates the governor of a turbine which powers a hydropower generator has a servo valve capable of flowing only a portion of its flow requirements during normal low power fluctuation conditions of the turbine's operation. During high power fluctuation conditions of the turbine's operation, such as during start-up, hydraulic fluid also flows to and from the piston and cylinder assemblies through high flow pressure and return conduits that bypass the servo valve. Control of fluid flow in the high flow conduits is accomplished by a proportional throttling valve located in the high flow return line. The servo valve and proportional throttling valve together have a flow capacity which is equal to the flow requirements of the piston and cylinder assembly and they are both actuated by the same electronic controller.
