  • Publication number: 20140025274
Abstract: An electronically controlled speed limiting system for a turf maintenance machine includes at least one traction motor rotating a wheel. At least one hydraulic pump in fluid communication with the traction motor provides hydraulic fluid to operate the traction motor. At least one actuator in fluid communication with the hydraulic pump varies an output of the hydraulic pump. A controller in communication with the actuator commands the actuator to control the output of the hydraulic pump and thereby an operating speed of the wheel. A brake is activated by the controller if a wheel speed sensor signals the wheel is slip-spinning, to mitigate turf damage. A steering position sensor signal is used by the controller to modify brake activation during machine turns. An inclinometer signal is used by the controller to automatically reduce machine speed on inclined surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7677021
Abstract: A reel mower assembly having a frame and a reel rotatably mounted to the frame. The reel is a casting having spatially separated end members and a plurality of cross members homogenously connected to the end members. One or more support rings can also be positioned between the end members and homogenously connected to the cross members. A drive is operable to rotate the reel about a reel axis.

  • Patent number: 6029433
Abstract: A lawn mower roller brush mounting and drive for a reel type lawn mower. The brush extends along the length of the roller and is rotatable and in contact with the roller for removing grass and like debris from the roller. A belt drive of automatic adjustment arrangement extends between the reel and the brush for rotating the brush. A cover completely encloses the pulleys and belt.

  • Patent number: 5725065
Abstract: A vehicle having ground wheels and an engine and a radiator and a steering column. Hood segments are disposed over the aforementioned elements, and the segments are movable from positions adjacent the elements to positions remote from the elements, in order to expose the elements for servicing or the like. The several hood segments are interengageable and thereby secured in projected positions over the aforementioned elements, and they are arranged to be moved for full exposure of the aforementioned elements.

  • Patent number: 5695023
Abstract: A vehicle pedal assembly which includes a pedal extending in spaced position over a foot platform and with the pedal being movable up and down for respective control of the vehicle and/or of implements mounted on the vehicle. The operator can press down or lift up on the pedal, while resting his heel on the platform, and he can actuate the pedal in either the up or down direction for vehicle traction control, with one pedal, and for control of the implements mounted on the vehicle, with another pedal.
