  • Publication number: 20190197892
Abstract: A flood warning system has a gauge unit adapted to be positioned adjacent to a waterway and a display adapted to be positioned away from the waterway and adjacent to a roadway. The gauge unit has a plurality of sensors arranged in vertically-spaced relation within a housing of the gauge unit. The housing has a fluid inlet adapted to allow water to enter the housing when a level of water in the waterway raises above a low position. The plurality of sensors are adapted to detect a level of water within the housing of the gauge unit. The display has a warning indicator thereon. The display is cooperative with the gauge unit such that the warning indicator is actuated when the level of water in the housing of the gauge unit is above one of the plurality of sensors.

  • Publication number: 20180216985
Abstract: A flood warning system for providing persons with an advance warning of a flooded area has a gauge unit positioned in a waterway, a control unit configured to receive signals transmitted by the gauge unit in order to determine whether a condition of the waterway is safe, and a warning light unit positioned remotely from the gauge unit in a path adjacent to a roadway ahead of the waterway. The gauge unit has one or more sensors in a housing that measure a water level is water enters or exits the housing and a signal transmitter cooperative with the gauge unit that transmits a signal in response to a pre-defined water level being reached. The warning light includes a light illuminated in response to the gauge unit measuring a current water level is flooding the roadway.

  • Publication number: 20170352266
Abstract: An alert system is disclosed providing motorists an alert in advance of flood areas being flooded. The disclosed system provides real-time information on water levels adjacent or on top of roadways. As water levels enter a gauge unit, a signal from the gauge unit is sent to trigger a warning light that motorists or pedestrians can see from the roadway before reaching an area of the roadway that maybe flooded. The embodiments disclosed may prevent loss of life and avoid costly automotive repairs due to water damage.

  • Publication number: 20150342815
Abstract: The present invention relates to massage assembly structured for mounting on a vertical supporting surface during a massaging procedure. The massage assembly includes an elongated housing mounted on the supporting surface in a substantially vertical orientation. A contact assembly is movably disposed on the housing and is operative to apply a massaging pressure to predetermined body portions of the user. A sensor assembly is disposed and structured to determine at least one area of engagement between the housing and the user's body. A drive assembly is connected in driving relation to the contact assembly. The sensor assembly is connected to the drive assembly and is operative to determine at least one area of application of the contact assembly on the predetermined body portion.

  • Patent number: 8014993
Abstract: An operating environment emulation system includes a separate peripheral emulation system having a memory device. The memory device is operable to store one or more executable programs, referred to as emulators. The emulators are operable to emulate an original operating environment. Multiple emulators may be deployed on the emulation system to allow execution and presentation of an original operating environment on several different host computers. The system also includes a method for connecting the emulation system to a host computer or accessory device upon which the emulation will run. The emulator may employ insulation processes to limit interaction between the emulation system and host computer resources.
