  • Patent number: 10544173
Abstract: A phosphate ester composition comprising more than 50 mass % of a phosphate ester represented by Formula 1, wherein X, Y, and Z are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, heteroalkyl, heteroaryl or aryl, with at least one of X, Y and Z being aryl, represented by Formula 2, and wherein two or more of R3, R4 and R5 have from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and the total number of carbon atoms in R3, R4 and R5 is from 3 to 30. The use of the phosphate ester composition as a flame retardant, a lubricant, an anti-wear additive, a hydraulic fluid, a self-extinguishing functional fluid, or an additive thereof.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7842113
Abstract: An extended water level range steam/water conical cyclone separator for separating steam from water in a steam/water mixture supplied to a steam drum of a boiler, has a housing comprising a conical portion with upper and lower cylindrical portions, and a conical vane plate. An open bottom extension sleeve portion for discharging water from the steam/water conical cyclone separator housing and connected to the lower cylindrical water outlet portion is provided such that the conical vane plate is located at an intermediate location between the upper conical portion and the open bottom extension sleeve portion of the lower cylindrical portion. Extended water level range capability is thus provided while maintaining adequate steam/water cyclone separator performance characteristics.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 19, 2007
Date of Patent: November 30, 2010

  • Patent number: 7707416
Abstract: A computer receives a request for authentication from a client. The computer forwards the authentication request to an authentication source. Once the authentication source has validated the authentication request, the computer requests authentication and cache control information from the authentication source. The computer uses the authentication and cache control information to populate a user object stored in a container hierarchy and enable the computer to authenticate an authentication request without forwarding the authentication request to the authentication source.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 27, 2010
    Assignee: Novell, Inc.
Inventors: Scott Alan Isaacson, Daniel Gene Fritch, Larry Hal Henderson, Lynn Wells Crabb, James Duane Nyland, Jr.
