  • Patent number: 11294453
Abstract: A simulated reality system is disclosed herein. The simulated reality system receives information from the sensor determinable as at least one of a position or orientation of a user of the device. The simulated reality system transmits the information to the simulated reality environment generator for converting the information to a corresponding avatar position or orientation within the simulated reality environment and for subsequent transmission of the avatar position or orientation within the simulated reality environment to at least one of a second device or simulated reality device. The handheld device receives information from the simulated reality environment generator. The information corresponds to the viewing perspective of the avatar in the simulated reality environment for display on the viewing device.

  • Patent number: 11288868
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a simulated reality (SR) display system with an adjustable perspective. A simulated reality display system with an adaptable user space can receive a real world layout corresponding to a physical space in which the SR environment will be displayed to the user. Using the real world layout, a default user space can be adapted to conform to one or more aspects of the physical space forming an adjusted user space. Assets of an SR layer can be repositioned relative to the adjusted user space, with the SR layer defining a layout of a plurality of assets in the SR environment. The SR environment can be displayed on the display device, in accordance with the SR layer, allowing the user to safely move around the user space to explore the SR environment without undesirable interactions with the one or more aspects of the physical space.

  • Patent number: 11095947
Abstract: A system for sharing user-generated content includes a plurality of video recording devices, a viewer device, and a processor. The plurality of video recording devices include cameras capable of capturing video. The recording devices are connected to a network for streaming the video onto the network and transmitting information about the video recording devices related to the streaming video. The viewer device is configured for receiving the streamed video from the network and displaying content based on the streamed video. The viewer device has a viewer-user interface, which can receive viewer-user input. The processor is configured for receiving the information and viewer-user input and selecting one or more videos to stream based on the information that is associated with the viewer-user input. The processors stream the selected videos to the viewer device.

  • Publication number: 20200388177
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for assessing user interaction with a simulated reality environment. The system includes a user device, sensor(s), a computer readable instructions, and a processor. The sensor(s) detect user data associated a simulated real world task in the simulated reality environment related to at least one of biological indicator, user interactional input, and behavioral user activity. The processor is configured to cause display, on the user device, of the simulated reality environment configured for user interaction with the simulated real world task; receive, from the sensor(s), data related to the detected user data associated with the simulated real world task; determine, based on the received user data, a confidence grade for the user. The confidence grade is indicative of the user's confidence in performance of the simulated real world task within the simulated reality environment. The processor causes transmission of feedback related to the confidence grade.

  • Publication number: 20200349751
Abstract: A virtual reality system is disclosed herein. The system includes a viewing device suitable for displaying display information from a virtual reality environment. The system includes a capture device configured to capture a real world activity. Information is received from the capture device related to a real world activity. The information is transmitted to the virtual reality environment generation system for converting the information to a corresponding streaming asset that is embedded into the virtual reality environment for subsequent transmission to an instance of the virtual reality environment on a participant device. Virtual reality environment information is received from the virtual reality environment generation system. The virtual reality environment information corresponds to the position or orientation of a participant asset of a participant that is engaging with the streaming asset. The participant asset is displayed on the viewing device.

  • Publication number: 20190378335
Abstract: Systems and methods for representing data in a simulated reality (SR) are described. An example method includes accessing, via a computing device of a coordinated SR system, an asset suitable to display in a SR, and receiving first/second real environment user location data for first/second users, respectively, using the coordinated SR system. The method further includes determining, based on the first/second real environment user location data, first/second relative positions within the SR between the asset and a first representation associated with the first user and a second representation associated with the second user, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20190188893
Abstract: A data representation system is provided. The data representation system includes a display device and a non-transitory memory containing computer-readable instructions operable to create a simulated reality. The data representation system also includes a processor configured to process the instructions for carrying out steps for creating the simulated reality. The system accesses source data having four or more attributes. The system converts a portion of the source attributes to representative attributes. The system accesses the representative attributes and forms an agglomerated asset that is based on a default asset. Each of the representative attributes forms a distinct characteristic of the asset.
