Abstract: A container that provides for drainage of fluid underneath a product label on the container is provided. The container comprises a central label portion, a bottom portion below the central label portion, and at least one drainage port. Each drainage port comprises two ridges forming a groove through which fluid can drain from the central label portion to the bottom portion of the container. At a cross-sectional area of a container at the level of the drainage ports, the container has an outer surface at a radial distance from the longitudinal axis of the container. Preferably, each groove is located at the same radial distance as that of the outer surface of the container.
