  • Publication number: 20170252187
Abstract: An orthopedic measurement system is disclosed to measure leg alignment. The measurement system includes a tri-axial gyroscope configured to measure movement of a leg. The gyroscope is coupled to a tibia of the leg. For example, the gyroscope can be placed in an insert or tibial prosthetic component that couples to the tibia. The gyroscope is used to measure alignment relative to the mechanical axis of the leg. The leg alignment measurement is performed by putting the leg through a first leg movement and a second leg movement. The gyroscope outputs angular velocities on the axes the sensor is rotated about. The gyroscope is coupled to a computer that calculates the alignment of the leg relative to the mechanical axis from the gyroscope measurement data.

  • Patent number: 9752343
Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable bolt-on brace attachment for strengthening standard field irrigation towers and tapered sections of field irrigations towers to stabilize a tower. In one aspect of the present invention, an attachment for stabilizing field irrigation towers allows the user to easily assemble the adjustable bolt-on brace in the field wherein three threaded ¾ inch rods span between the each of the three weight bearing poles of the field irrigation system. Each ¾ inch threaded rod is spanned between each pair of weight-bearing poles of a tower attaching at each pole by a galvanized steel two-sided clamp which is double bolted-on to each pole. The adjustable threaded rods may span from 15 inches to 49 inches of each of three tower faces and adjustable double sided steel clamps fit field irrigations tower legs sizes from ? inch to 2½ inches diameter.

  • Patent number: 9737748
Abstract: A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. A non-slip material may be attached to the bottom surface of the rehabilitation board. A band retaining feature is described as being integral to the rehabilitation board such that it is attached to the board, or may be fastened to the board. Additionally, in some embodiments, the board comprises range markings for the determination of the degree or amount of exertion or extension. Furthermore, the range markings may be calibrated to specific resistance band types. In other embodiments, the rehabilitation board may be configured with interlocking features to provide a modular option for combining boards when more extension is required.
