  • Publication number: 20120145933
Abstract: A liquid filled pressure/vacuum valve for underground storage tanks has a body having an inlet coupled to the UST and an outlet coupled to atmosphere. The valve has a suction zone disposed in the body and fluidly coupled to the inlet. The valve has a pressure zone disposed in the body and fluidly coupled to the outlet, with the suction zone in fluid communication with the pressure zone. The valve has a separator disposed in fluid communication with the outlet and the pressure zone, and a fluid that flows between the suction zone and pressure zone. The flow of fluid is determined by an increased force due to a pressure differential between the suction zone and pressure zone.

  • Patent number: 7055558
Abstract: A containment system for a fuel site according to the present invention comprises: a fuel storage tank; at least one fuel line connected to the fuel storage tank; a containment sump associated with the fuel storage tank and encircling the at least one fuel line connected to the fuel storage tank; an opening in the containment sump through which external connections may be made with a remote end of the at least one fuel line; and a removable catch basin adapted to fit into the opening in the containment sump and to fit over and around the remote end of the at least one fuel line such that the catch basin can catch fuel spills from the remote end of the at least one fuel line.

  • Patent number: 6886388
Abstract: A penetration fitting for forming a sealed connection between a conduit and a containment structure in an underground storage tank fueling system is provided that includes a main fitting element for forming a sealed connection to each of the conduit and the containment structure, wherein the main fitting element includes an interstitial space that is in fluid communication with each of the conduit and the containment structure. In one embodiment a monitoring fluid is disposed in the interstitial space and a sensor is used to monitor the level of the monitoring fluid.
