  • Publication number: 20220188738
Abstract: Embodiments may be associated with a network status insight system implemented via a back-end application computer server. A network provider data store may contain electronic records, each electronic record representing a network provider of an enterprise. An enterprise data store may contain electronic records, each electronic record representing a remote analysis entity of the enterprise (e.g., a remote employee or worker). The computer server may receive, from the enterprise data store, information about analysis entities of the enterprise and, from the network provider data store, information about networks used by the enterprise. The computer may also receive, from a third-party outage detector platform information about outages associated with the enterprise (e.g., network outages and/or power outages). A network status algorithm may then be applied to correlate the received information to generate enterprise network status results (e.g.

  • Patent number: 8400002
Abstract: A series of underwater sails spaced apart, attach to a moving cable loop between pulleys with electric generators. The sails inflate by the force of the water current and drive the cable in the direction of the current to turn the generators to generate electricity. As the sails reach the end pulley or tail spool they deflate and are pulled back to the beginning power pulley in a continual repeated cycle.

  • Publication number: 20110268526
Abstract: A torque nut includes a threaded passageway and a groove. The groove has its opening facing the passageway. A breakaway insert having a major body portion is formed in the passageway, and a tab connected to the major body portion is formed in the groove, for example, by injection molding. The tab connected to the major body portion prevents rotation of the insert in the passageway. In one use, a resin component, a catalyst component and a first end of a rock-bolt are positioned in a bore hole. The torque nut is threaded onto the opposite end of the rock-bolt. Rotation of the torque nut rotates the rock-bolt, mixing the components. After the components set, increased torque is applied to the torque nut to fracture the insert and move the nut up the threaded end of the rock-bolt against roof stabilizing components.

  • Publication number: 20110103874
Abstract: A pencil mechanism replaces a ballpoint pen refill and has an actuator for containing lead. A point of the mechanism is slidably mounted to the actuator and has a shoulder to engage a step in the pen when an end of the point projects from a writing end of the pen. The point has an open end for projecting the writing tip of the lead and a bushing for frictionally engaging the lead in the point to allow for, but resist axial movement of the lead. A point spring between actuator and point biases them apart and a clutch is slidably mounted to the actuator and point. The clutch has fingers for receiving lead and the actuator engages the clutch to close the fingers and fix the lead. Further forward movement of the actuator projects a writing tip of the lead from the pen as the shoulder engages the step to fix the writing tip in a writing position. The actuator is movable rearwardly for releasing the clutch and the lead and allowing the clutch to move rearwardly in the pen for a repeat of the lead feeding cycle.

  • Publication number: 20070155976
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods for preparing radiopharmaceutical compounds in high chemical-purity and isotopic-purity. The present invention provides polymer-bound precursors to radiopharmaceutical compounds that can be converted to radiopharmaceutical compounds in one step. In a preferred embodiment, a radiopharmaceutical precursor is bound to a polymeric support via a prosthetic group comprising an alkenyl-tin bond. The radiopharmaceutical precursor is converted to a radiopharmaceutical compound in one step involving cleavage of the alkenyl-tin bond and incorporation of a radioisotope to form the radiopharmaceutical compound. Importantly, the polymeric support containing the toxic tin by-product can be easily removed from the radiopharmaceutical compound by filtration. The present invention can be used to install a large number of different radioisotopes. In a preferred embodiment, the radioisotope is 211At, 123I or 131I.

  • Patent number: 5559673
Abstract: A cooling system for cooling electrical components in a personal computer is provided. The cooling system provides filtered air under a positive air pressure to such components in the computer, as the electrical power supply and microprocessor, as well as other components in the computer. The filtered air cools the components and prevents dust from collecting on the components. In a second embodiment, the cooling system includes a tower style case for supporting the personal computer. The case houses an air filter and induction fans, for providing copious cooling air flow through ducts in the computer. Air vents are placed in optimal areas in the computer, such as near the microprocessor and power supply, to provide increased air circulation for the components in these areas. A switch panel is additionally provided that enables energizing peripheral devices when desired.

  • Patent number: 5072850
Abstract: A trash can wherein the open top of the container is surrounded by a ring-shaped rim having two inwardly extending prongs forming part of a bayonet mount. The lid of the can has a top portion and a depending annular skirt which can be inserted into the rim preparatory to activation of the bayonet mount which further comprises two inverted L-shaped slots in the external surface of the skirt. The lower ends of the slots are open to permit entry of prongs in response to placing of the lid onto the rim, and the lid is then turned relative to the container in order to cause the prongs to enter the substantially horizontal portions of the respective slots. The bayonet mount ensures that the lid cannot be separated from the container by dogs, bears, raccoons and/or other animals. In addition, the bayonet mount can maintain the top portion of the lid in substantial sealing engagement with the rim to prevent the escape of odors and/or flowable substances.

  • Patent number: 4976249
Abstract: A clay pigeon target launching device has a launching arm supported on a pivot shaft that is received in a unidirectional bearing housing. The launching arm is biased into a tensioned position and held in that position by a pair of levers that are pivoted and which engage a stop abutment that is coupled to the shaft of the launching arm. The arrangement is such that both levers must be released before the launching arm can rotate which keeps both hands out of the path of the launching arm as a safety feature.
