One, or a group of unique alphanumerical indicators are selected by the user to form a chain. Each chain is assigned a unique number by the user. Any chain may be assigned to any of the fifty abbreviated work-ups or procedures displayed on each catalog selection screen. A coded unique alphanumeric indicator has been assigned to each procedure, term, or remark in the provided, and user expansible, procedural index.
