    Abstract: Method and arrangement in a base station for scheduling radio resources to a user equipment. Also, the moment of time when the frame of data was generated in the user equipment buffer is determined, based on the received time offset value.     Abstract: In a method and a system a good spread of users per code is obtained by providing a value related to the current load for each code in the system. The estimated load value can be used by the network to assign the HS-PDSCH code for users in HS-SCCH less operation, and may also be used in the dynamic transmission process, i.e. which codes are to be used by which user during this and future TTIs. If one code is over a given utilization threshold, where the threshold is set in order to avoid code blocking of VoIP users, enough users can be re-assigned to a different code. In the case that all of the current codes used in the HS-SCCH less operation model are over the utilization threshold, yet another code can be made available for HS-SCCH less operation.

A number of TPC commands are then analyzed (24) to determine a result of the decreased transmit power indicating a change in received power at a base station. Based on the determined result it is decided to continue (27) with the decreased transmit power or to resume (26) the previous transmit power of the selected antenna after completion of the transmit power adjustment phase.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for triggering change of a Radio Resource Control (RRC) state for a user equipment operating in a cellular network. According to the method a Radio Link Control (RLC) buffer threshold associated with a Radio Link Control buffer is set to an initial value upon the user equipment entering a CELL_FACH RRC state. The RLC buffer threshold is decreased as a function of time. A RRC state change for the user equipment between the CELL_FACH RRC state and a CELL_DCH RRC state is triggered according to a predetermined rule based on a current size of the RLC buffer and the RLC buffer threshold. The method facilitates achieving a desired RRC state transition behavior for some types of users.

The base station also transmits the gating configuration to the user equipment, receives a gated control signal, via the control channel, based on the gating configuration, and synchronizes time slots for signal bursts associated with the gated control signal and time slots for data packets associated with the data channel. The base station further schedules transmissions of the data packets based on the synchronized time slots, generates an absolute grant based on the scheduled transmissions of the data packets, and transmits the absolute grant to the user equipment.
