    Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method in a network node comprises: determining that uplink control information, UCI, and a data payload will be sent via a physical uplink shared channel on a slot/subslot transmission; determining a modulation coding scheme, MCS, offset for transmission of the UCI via the physical uplink shared channel; and communicating the MCS offset to a wireless device. According to some embodiments, a method in a wireless device comprises: determining that UCI and a data payload will be sent via a physical uplink shared channel on a slot/subslot transmission; receiving a MCS offset for transmission of the UCI via the physical uplink shared channel; and communicating, to a network node, the UCI using the MCS offset. The UCI and the data payload may be sent via the physical uplink shared channel with a slot/subslot transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI).
