  • Publication number: 20240107218
Abstract: A case can communicate with one or more earbuds to obtain information related to the earbuds, such as a battery charge level of the earbud. Due to the interface circuits within the case and the earbuds, the case can obtain the information from a power management unit of the earbud without first communicating with a processor (serving as the central processing unit) of the earbud. As a result, the processor can be powered down, i.e., inactive, and the case can still communicate with the earbud. Examples in which the processor can be powered down include when the earbud is in the case and not in use/service by a user, or when the earbud battery charge level is relatively low.

  • Publication number: 20240068132
Abstract: Nucleation enhancement and/or growth rate improvement of mesophase in pitch compositions derived from hydrocarbon feedstocks can be achieved by: reacting in a reaction zone a blend comprising an isotropic feed and a seeding agent, to produce a reacted pitch having a mesophase content of about 10 vol % to 100 vol %, based on the total volume of the reacted pitch, and a softening point (Tsp) below 400° C.; wherein the seeding agent is about 50 wt % or less, based on the total weight of the blend; wherein the seeding agent has a mesophase content of about 0.01 vol % to 100 vol %, based on the total volume of the seeding agent.

  • Publication number: 20240038310
Abstract: Techniques for protecting non-volatile memory (NVM) from power cycle interruptions during memory operations are disclosed. A power management integrated circuit (PMIC) coupled to a memory circuit with NVM implements the various techniques disclosed. When a power reset signal is asserted to a PMIC, the PMIC may delay initiation of the power reset cycle when it detects that the NVM coupled to the PMIC is active to prevent corruption of the NVM by the power reset cycle. The PMIC may detect the activity level of the NVM based on an activity output signal that indicates whether the NVM is active (e.g., programming or erasing) or inactive.

  • Patent number: 11785179
Abstract: Systems and methods to improve video conferencing may include various improvements and modifications to image and audio data to simulate mutual presence among users. For example, automated positioning and presentation of image data of users via presentation devices may present users at a position, size, and scale to simulate mutual presence of users within a same physical space. In addition, rendering image data of users from virtual camera positions via presentation devices may simulate mutual eye gaze and mutual presence of users. Further, blending a background, or accentuating a user, within image data that is presented via presentation devices may match visual characteristics of the environment or the user to simulate mutual presence of users. Moreover, dynamic steering of individual audio transducers of an audio transducer array, and simulating audio point sources using a combination of speakers, may simulate direct communication and mutual presence of users.
