  • Publication number: 20230335851
Abstract: A battery mounting system for a vehicle including a mounting member configured to connect to an underbody. The mounting member includes a first end, a second end, a first side, and a second side. The second end is opposite to and spaced from the first end along a first axis and the second side is opposite to and spaced from the first side along a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis. A cross-member extends between the first side and the second side. The cross-member forms a first battery module zone and a second battery module zone. The second battery module zone being spaced from the first battery module zone along the first axis. A first battery module is arranged in the first battery module zone below the vehicle underbody and a second battery module is arranged in the second battery module zone below the vehicle underbody.

  • Publication number: 20230246266
Abstract: A battery pack is disclosed and includes battery cells, an outer housing, a support structure, and a planar structure. The outer housing is configured to enclose and immerse the plurality of battery cells in a coolant. The outer housing includes multiple walls including side walls, a top wall and a bottom wall. The support structure supports the battery cells. The support structure includes dividing members separating the battery cells. The planar structure is disposed above or below the battery cells. A gap exists between a planar surface of the planar structure and a planar surface of one of the top wall and the bottom wall of the outer housing for flowing the coolant between the planar structure and the one of the top wall and the bottom wall. The planar structure and at least some of the walls direct the coolant to flow across and between the battery cells.

  • Patent number: 10203362
Abstract: System and methods for estimating a state if a fuse are presented. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods may be utilized in connection with estimating a state of a fuse associated with a manual service disconnect associated with an energy storage system included in a vehicle. Consistent with embodiments disclosed herein, a current event counting-based method utilizing one or more weighted time data buckets associated with various current levels may be used in connection with estimating MSD fuse life. In some embodiments, a MSD fuse end-of-service life signal may be triggered when a total time associated in the weighted time data buckets exceed a threshold value.
