    Abstract: According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a first receiver, a second receiver, an extractor and a display module. The first receiver is configured to receive first program information for a plurality of programs from a first external apparatus connected via a network. The second receiver is configured to receive a channel identifier of a first program from a second external apparatus. The extraction module is configured to extract, from the first program information, second program information for a single program associated with a channel indicated by the channel identifier, and a time point. The display module is configured to display information that is based on the second program information.
