    Abstract: The temperature detection probe of a digital thermometer may be detachably disposed within a pacifier nipple by forcibly inserting a coupling rod having a rounded split head which carries the probe through a stub tube having a circular bottom plate securing the base of the nipple to a base plate. A cover is provided for enclosing the nipple when the pacifier is not being used.
