  • Publication number: 20230069397
Abstract: Embodiments include methods performed by a V2X user equipment (UE) for service discovery from a V2X application server (AS). Such methods include sending, to a first address associated with the V2X AS, a first request for further address information associated with the V2X AS. Such methods include receiving, from the first address via unicast signaling, a first response including the requested further address information, which facilitates UE discovery of V2X services available via unicast communication between the V2X UE and a radio access network (RAN). Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a V2X AS, as well as V2X UE and V2X AS apparatus configured to perform such methods.

  • Patent number: 11570582
Abstract: A mobile device (10) subscribes to receive messages targeted to a first geographical area (18-A), e.g., a first tile or area of a grid for geocasting. The mobile device (10) also subscribes to receive messages targeted to a second geographical area (18-B), e.g., a second tile or area of the grid for geocasting. The mobile device (10) notably does this such that the mobile device (10) is simultaneously subscribed to receive messages targeted to the first geographical area (18-A) and to receive messages targeted to the second geographical area (18-B).

  • Publication number: 20220329994
Abstract: A V2X UE (e.g., wireless device) that includes a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) application enabler (VAE) client and a V2X application-specific client associated with a V2X application, where the V2X UE is connected with a V2X application server is enabled to receive notifications of conditions occurring in a wireless network that connects them. The V2X application-specific client in the UE performing a registration with the V2X application server for receiving notifications. The registration comprises one or more conditions monitored by a network function (NF) in the wireless network. For example, the condition can be related to QoS provided by the network in a particular geographic area and/or in a particular time window, where the NF can be a network data and analytics function (NWDAF). The VAE client receives from the VAE server the notifications. The VAE client can receive a notification of a particular occurrence of the condition after the NF monitoring detects the occurrence.

  • Patent number: 11463853
Abstract: A method of allocating sidelink radio resources to a group of vehicles, in a telecommunication network, wherein vehicles within said group of vehicles intent to use said sidelink radio resources for vehicle-to-vehicle, V2V, communication, said method comprising the steps of receiving, by a V2V control entity residing in, or accessible via, a core network of said telecommunication network, a resource request, from said group of vehicles, for requesting radio resources to be used for said V2V communication, determining, by said V2V control entity, radio resources to be used for said V2V communication, transmitting, by said V2V control entity, to said group of vehicles, a resource grant comprising said determined radio resources.

  • Publication number: 20220191649
Abstract: Methods of operating a first VAE server are disclosed. V2X message information per geographical area is received from a V2X application specific server. Position information is received from a VAE client of a wireless device, wherein the position information indicates a position of the wireless device. Responsive to receiving the position information and responsive to the V2X message information per geographical area, a second VAE server is identified based on the position information. An address for the second VAE server is transmitted to the VAE client of the wireless device. Related VAE servers and V2X wireless devices are also discussed.

  • Publication number: 20190173801
Abstract: Described is a method for transmitting continuously created data items from an aircraft to a receiver. The data items are of a plurality of data types and each have a different priority. For each data type a live LIFO buffer and a main LIFO buffer are provided. In a regular operation mode continuously created data items are continuously stored in the main buffers. In a transmission operation mode continuously created data items are continuously stored in the live buffers, consecutive data packets are transmitted and for each data packet the data is selected from the buffers, wherein data items stored in live buffers are transmitted before data items stored in main buffers and data items of higher priorities are transmitted before data items of lower priorities. Further, a transmitter and an aircraft are described and claimed.
