  • Patent number: 10941814
Abstract: A coupling assembly for rotatably coupling two shafts comprises a first shaft extending longitudinally between a first end and a second end and having a radially extending flange at said second end; a second shaft extending longitudinally between a first end and a second end and having a radially extending hollow receiving member at said first end, the flange being positioned within the hollow receiving member, The hollow receiving member comprises an inner cylindrical surface comprising at least one longitudinally extending member groove and the flange comprises an outer cylindrical surface comprising at least one longitudinally extending flange groove, The coupling assembly also includes a barrel-shaped roller bearing provided to extend longitudinally within and in contact with both said flange groove and said receiving member groove and the flange groove and/or said member groove has a longitudinal concave barrel shape for receiving and contacting said barrel shaped roller bearing.

  • Patent number: 10738837
Abstract: A torque limiting assembly is disclosed comprising: an input shaft; an output shaft; a drive bush; a motion converter mechanism; a casing; and at least one engagement member for engaging the casing. In a low torque mode, rotation of the input shaft drives rotation of the drive bush, motion converter mechanism and output shaft. In a high torque mode, rotation of the motion converter mechanism relative to the output shaft urges the motion converter mechanism axially to drive rotation of the drive bush relative to the input shaft. The engagement member is coupled to both the drive bush and the input shaft such that when the drive bush is rotated relative to the input shaft, the engagement member is urged to engage the casing so as to prevent or inhibit rotation of the input shaft relative to the casing.

  • Patent number: 10731771
Abstract: A flow limiter valve assembly comprising a housing defined by an end cap and a guide base, a fluid inlet orifice provided in the base and a fluid outlet orifice in the circumferential wall of the housing, with a fluid flow path defined from the inlet orifice to the outlet orifice. The valve assembly further comprises a spool mounted in the base of the housing and arranged to be axially moveable relative to the housing end cap and biasing elements to bias the spool away from the end cap. When the spool is biased away from the end cap, the fluid flow path is defined by a gap between the end cap and the spool such that fluid can flow from the inlet orifice through this gap to the outlet orifice.

  • Publication number: 20200056685
Abstract: An actuator for driving a rotatable component includes a first member comprising a screw thread and rotatable about an axis (X), and a second member comprising a screw thread configured to cooperate with the screw thread on the first, rotating member. The second member is restrained against rotational movement about the axis (X) such that rotation of said first member causes movement of said second member along the axis (X), and the second member comprises one or more helical grooves. The actuator also includes a third member rotatable about the axis (X) and restrained against axial movement, wherein the third member comprises one or more helical rails, each configured to ride within a respective one of the helical grooves such that movement of the second member along the axis (X) causes rotational movement of the third member about the axis (X).
