Abstract: The label generation apparatus enables the user to define a label of arbitrary size, shape and characteristics. Each label in a series of labels includes unique indicia that individually identify each label according to any predefined sequence. The label generation apparatus includes a template generation capability that enables the user to define the basic label format having one or more writable indicia fields. These one or more writable indicia fields can be used to provide each label with individual identifying indicia according to any predetermined sequence. The label generation apparatus also includes an indicia generation capability that produces the individual identification according to various characteristics that are specified by the user of this apparatus.

Abstract: An integrally molded plastic holder for tape cartridges is provided wherein the holder is partitioned into an upper section and a lower section by two spaced apart ledges integrally formed therewith and wherein the upper and lower sections have a plurality of compartments dimensioned to receive a tape cartridge and wherein a plurality of resiliently tab portions are mounted between the upper and lower ledges so that a portion of each tab portion is located in a recess in a tape cartridge when the tape cartridge has been inserted into one of the compartments to restrain the removal of the tape cartridge from the compartment. The tab portions are mounted so that, when the tab portions are in the recesses, they are in an unstressed condition.

Abstract: A holder for tape cartridges having a housing divided by a partition to form an upper section and a lower section each of which has a plurality of compartments integrally formed therewith from a relatively rigid plastic material so that a tape cartridge may be positioned in each of the compartments and separate resilient force applying structures, integrally formed from a plastic material more rigid than the plastic material in the housing, and secured to the housing so as to apply a resilient force against the tape cartridge in a compartment to urge the tape cartridge against portions of the housing to hold the tape cartridge in the compartment.

Abstract: A truck having means for supporting a plurality of tape cartridge holders and used for transferring a plurality of tape cartridges is provided with rotatable means for supporting the tape cartridges holders so that the tape cartridges in the tape cartridge holders are readily accessible to the operator even in relatively narrow aisles.

Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a drafting table, such as a digitizer, for vertical and pivotal movement thereof wherein a fixed hollow column is supported on a base member and a movable hollow column is mounted inside of the fixed hollow column for vertical up or down movement thereof and wherein the weight of the drafting table is counter-balanced by a constant spring mounted on the upper portion of the fixed hollow column and on the lower portion of the movable hollow column so that a portion of the constant spring is between the fixed and movable hollow columns and an elongated support member mounted on the upper portion of the movable hollow column and extending generally in a horizontal direction for supporting the drafting table and pivot means for pivotally connecting the drafting table to the elongated support member.

The CRT display unit is mounted on support stand means for permitting movement of the CRT display unit anywhere within a three dimensional field and rotation about a horizontal axis and a vertical axis.

Abstract: A system for supporting documents such as multi-leaf computer print-out documents is presented and uses a holder having a main support member having a pair of support posts for supporting documents and a closure member pivotally mounted on the main support member for movement between an open position wherein documents can be mounted on or removed from the support posts and an intermediate position having a portion superposed over the support posts. The closure member can be moved in a linear direction from the intermediate position to a fully closed position in which the main support member and the closure member are locked together. Guiding forces control the linear movement of the closure member and frictional forces function to hold the main support member and the closure member in the fully closed position.

Abstract: A movable computer work processing system wherein a movable computer work station unit having a plurality of supporting surfaces in a housing thereof for supporting components of a computer work processing system is adapted to be moved over a desk. A slidably and pivotally mounted shelf means has a support surface for supporting components of a computer work processing system and is slidably moved out of the housing and pivoted until a portion thereof contacts the desk. The housing is provided with a slidably pivotally mounted front door means which is in a closed position when the housing is being moved and an open position when the computer work processing system is being used. Also, the front door means may be moved to a partially opened position to block off glare from overhead lighting.

Abstract: A storage rack for storage of computer data tape reels of a type having a relatively large diameter and a relatively small axial thickness and which are provided with a circumferential sealing ring having a hanger portion thereon. The storage rack comprises a vertically upright frame; longitudinally extending slide receiving members supported on the frame; longitudinally extending slide members, slideably mounted within the slide receiving members; and bracket members operably mounted within the slide members for supporting tape reels thereon in downwardly extending relationship therewith. The tape reels are removably supported by the bracket member in circumferentially adjacent relationship one with another and in axially perpendicular relationship to the longitudinally extending slide members and are stabilized in a longitudinal direction by the bracket members and in a lateral direction by the slide members.

Abstract: A sealing and storage ring comprising a flexible band member, having opposite end portions, which includes a latch member pivotally mounted on one end portion by a latch mounting member fixedly attached thereto and a keeper device integrally formed on the other end portion for holding the latch member in a latched position. The latch mounting member has an elongated slot which receives a pin device on the latch member. A plurality of abutment surfaces on the latch member are engageable with a plurality of abutment surfaces on the latch mounting member and on the keeper member to hold the latch member in the latched position.
