Abstract: A test schedule estimator for performing fixes on released software. In a preferred embodiment, historic data from similar builds are used with other data to estimate a time required to perform testing and release based on the number of fixes implemented.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for optically coupling together first and second fiber optic cables, having different or similar core diameters, to enable light to be transmitted from the first fiber optic cable to the second fiber optic cable with a minimum of light loss. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the system comprises a housing, first and second connectors, and first and second biconvex lenses. The first connector terminates the first fiber optic cable and also connects to a first housing portion of the housing to enable a first fiber end of the first fiber optic cable to protrude into the first housing portion. The second connector terminates the second fiber optic cable and also connects to a second housing portion of the housing to enable a second fiber end of the second fiber optic cable to protrude into the second housing portion.

Abstract: A portable transaction processing calculator has a keyboard and a display window along with slots for holding at least a pair of credit cards. One of the cards includes storage means therein and is electrically connected with the calculator, and another card has optical or other readable data thereon and readable by optical or other equipment. A selector switch on the calculator selects one of four different operations.
