  • Publication number: 20210191735
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide the ability for a computing device to adjust settings on a computing device. In one example method, the computing device captures, via a first sensor of a computing device, images of an environment that the computing device is currently in, and detects objects in the environment as captured by the images. As an example, the computing device determines a location of the environment based on contextual data gathered from the detected objects and adjusts a setting on the computing device based on the determined location.

  • Publication number: 20210183402
Abstract: In some examples, adaptive speech intelligibility control for speech privacy may include determining, based on background noise at a near-end of a speaker, a noise estimate associated with speech emitted from the speaker, and comparing, by using a specified factor, the noise estimate to a speech level estimate for the speech emitted from the speaker. Adaptive speech intelligibility control for speech privacy may further include determining, based on the comparison, a gain value to be applied to the speaker to produce the speech at a specified level to maintain on-axis intelligibility with respect to the speaker, and applying the gain value to the speaker.

  • Publication number: 20210120109
Abstract: Techniques for implementing neighbor equivalence groups on a network device are provided, where a neighbor equivalence group is a group of peers of the network device that communicate identical control plane state information for a given network protocol to the network device. In the context of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), these techniques can include (1) creating, by the network device, a neighbor equivalence group for a set of BGP peers that advertise the same BGP paths to the device, (2) maintaining, by the network device, a single path database for the neighbor equivalence group (rather than one path database for each BGP peer in the group), and (3) immediately processing. by the network device, BGP path update/withdrawal messages received from any of the BGP peers in the group against the single path database, without waiting for the same message to be received from every peer.

  • Patent number: 10959943
Abstract: Methods and pharmaceutical unit dosage forms for treating Parkinson's disease in a subject (e.g., an “off” episode in a subject having Parkinson's disease) are described. The pharmaceutical unit dosage forms are films having a first portion including particles containing an acid addition salt of apomorphine and a second portion containing a pH neutralizing agent. The pharmaceutical unit dosage forms can be flexible and have toughness greater than 100 g×mm. The methods can involve administering to a subject having Parkinson's disease a therapeutic dose sufficient to produce an apomorphine plasma concentrate of at least 2.64 ng/mL within 45 minutes after the administration. The subject may be identified as having low uptake, medium uptake, or high uptake of apomorphine administered via oral mucosa.

  • Publication number: 20200286026
Abstract: A trace history generation method includes receiving from an originating participant in a custody chain of transactions of an asset, by an intermediate participant, a trace history request for the asset. The request has an identification of an owner, data identifying the asset and a parent transaction identification in association with another of the participants, and a hash of the data. Thereafter, an identifier is assigned for the request and the request verified by interrogating a blockchain with the hash. Upon verification, a trace history document is generated including the data identifying the asset, an identifier of the intermediate participant, and a disposition of the asset including an identifier of a next nearest participant. A hash is computed for the trace history and a blockchain transaction performed recording and storing the hash in connection with the assigned identifier. Finally, the document is transmitted to the originating participant.

  • Publication number: 20200184017
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying data of interest are disclosed. The system may retrieve unstructured data from an internet data source via an alert system or RSS feed. The system may input the unstructured data into various models and scoring systems to determine whether the data is of interest. The models and scoring systems may be executed in order or in parallel. For example, the system may input the unstructured data into a Naïve Bayes machine learning model, a long short-term memory (LSTM) machine learning model, a named entity recognition (NER) model, a semantic role labeling (SRL) model, a sentiment scoring algorithm, and/or a gradient boosted regression tree (GBRT) machine learning model. Based on determining that the unstructured data is of interest, a data alert may be generated and transmitted for manual review or as part of an automated decisioning process.

  • Patent number: 10659877
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored machine readable instructions that are to cause the processor to determine a reference frame from a plurality of frames received at multiple different times, in which each of the plurality of frames includes audio signal data, and in which the reference frame includes audio signal data that identifies a highest audio signal level among audio signals identified in the plurality of frames. The reference frame may be time-aligned with each of the plurality of frames other than the reference frame to obtain respective time-aligned frames. The audio signals identified in each of the respective time-aligned frames may be added together to generate respective added audio signals. The respective added audio signals may be combined together to obtain a combined audio signal and the combined audio signal may be outputted.

  • Patent number: 10616681
Abstract: In example implementations, a system is disclosed for suppressing ambient sounds. In one example, the system includes a camera, a plurality of microphones, a plurality of speakers and a processor. The camera captures an image of a target, the plurality of microphones receives ambient sounds and a plurality of speakers outputs an audio signal to suppress the ambient sounds. The processor is in communication with the camera, the plurality of microphones and the plurality of speakers. The processor can identify a location on the target based on the image that is captured, determine a direction and a frequency of the ambient sounds, and generate the audio signal based on the direction and the frequency of the ambient sounds, the audio signal is directed towards the location on the target.

  • Patent number: 10500693
Abstract: A method for fabricating an integrated circuit includes providing a partitioned chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) model having a plurality of model parameters that include (i) device specific model parameters and (ii) at least one common parameter. (i) include a pre-CMP thickness of a film including a first material on an in-process device, a post-CMP target thickness for the film on the in-process device, and device group properties that account for device structure for the in-process device. (ii) includes a polish rate from an unpatterned pilot wafer having a second material thereon. The second material need not be the same as the first material. The polish time is automatically determined using the partitioned CMP model. A CMP process is performed on a patterned product wafer having a plurality of the in-process devices using a recipe including the polish time.

  • Publication number: 20190349593
Abstract: An example non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions. When executed by a processor, the instructions cause the processor to split a video frame into a first frame including blocks classified as natural and a second frame including blocks classified as artificial. The instructions also cause the processor to compress the first frame with a first compression technique. The instructions also cause the processor to compress the second frame with a second compression technique.

  • Patent number: 10027622
Abstract: In one embodiment, methods are described for recovering lost customer premises equipment (CPE) information on a cable modem termination system (CMTS) in the presence of only Dynamic Host Control Protocol Version 6 (DHCPv6) CONFIRM. A CMTS purges routing information for an Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) node, such as a CPE router, in response to detecting an interface reset for the IPv6 node. IPv6 addresses and prefixes information for the IPv6 node is gleaned from a DHCPv6 CONFIRM message received from the IPv6 node. By sending portions of the IPv6 addresses and prefixes information within a DHCPv6 LEASEQUERY message, a DHCPv6 CONFIRM message with an embedded DHCPv6 LEASEQUERY message, or a DHCPv6 CONFIRM message with an Interface-ID option, a reply message can be received that contains the purged routing information for the IPv6 node.
