  • Publication number: 20110092191
Abstract: The instant application describes a method for enabling a user of a mobile device to purchase a Ring Back Tone (“RBT”). The method includes steps of receiving an identifier associated with the mobile device that has received the RBT as a result of a call to another device and a mapping identification code associated with a RBT content identification code; generating a long code for the mapping identification code; and generating a message with the long code as a reply-to-number. The method also includes steps of sending the message to the mobile device, the message offering the user of the mobile device an option to purchase the RBT; receiving a response from the mobile device, reflecting the mobile device's user desire to either purchase the RBT or not to purchase the RBT; and identifying the mapping identification code from the reply-to-number in the response.

  • Publication number: 20110066593
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for synchronizing data present in a target data set with data present in a source data set. The data present in the target data set is partitioned to determine a partition definition of the target data set. A target message digest is calculated for the data present in each partition of the target data set. Based upon the partition definition of the target data set, the data present in the source data set is partitioned. A source message digest is calculated for the data present in each partition of the source data set. The source message digest of a partition is compared with the target message digest of a corresponding partition to capture a change in data present in the source data set. Based upon the captured data, the data in the target data set is synchronized with the data in the source data set.

  • Patent number: 7904287
Abstract: A method and system for real-time prediction of power usage for a change to another performance state provides input data for power management decision-making processes or for display to system operators. The unit(s) for which power usage is predicted may be a single processor in a uni-processor system or may extend up to the level of facilities within a complex of processing facilities. The method and system gather real-time data on the power consumption of the unit(s) and create a model, such as a regression model, of power versus performance. A resulting power usage change required by a prospective nominal performance state change is shown as display data, or is transmitted to a power budgeting controller to inform the controller as to potential changes that can enhance system operation, such as managing tradeoffs of power allocated to various sub-units of a processing system.

  • Patent number: 7845076
Abstract: Re-machining a generator rotor tooth dovetail results in a transition zone at an end of the partial re-machined cut, between a newly cut load surface and an original load surface of the rotor tooth. The transition zone is susceptible to stresses that may adversely affect the fatigue strength of the rotor tooth. These stresses can be reduced by the steps of (a) forming at least one axial undercut stress relief groove across the transition zone between the newly cut load surface and the original load surface, (b) cutting and shaping a wedge that will fit in the transition zone, and (c) securing the wedge across the transition zone.
