    Abstract: An analyte sensing and monitoring system and method is provided that is particularly applicable to monitoring of analytes in cell cultures. The system and method relies on the initial diffusion rates of the analytes from the medium that contains the analytes being measured (e.g., cell culture) into a diffusion chamber that is inserted into the medium, and remote sensing of the analytes using an analyte sensing system that is coupled to the diffusion chamber.
