  • Publication number: 20220353253
Abstract: A method and system for provisioning credentials is disclosed. The method includes receiving an encrypted data packet including a first passcode and credentials in encrypted form, and a second passcode. The second passcode is compared to a first passcode. If the passcodes match, then a server computer can transmit a token associated with the credentials to a service provider computer.

  • Patent number: 11442796
Abstract: A system and method may reduce the costs associated with adding or editing configuration elements for an API. A generic schema for the API codebase may keep the configuration definitions flexible and associations between various configuration definitions may also be saved within the codebase. New configuration instances may then be created using the definition of the configuration. Since the definition of the configuration is saved in a codebase, updating the definition or adding a new definition will not require going through the cycle of requirement analysis, coding, and testing. Once the definition is updated, the application code may appropriately mark the difference between the configuration instance and its definition and it will utilize the new definition to create instances of the new configuration.

  • Publication number: 20220237592
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems and methods that enable authentication of a user via an authentication application that is different than a wallet application that is being used to process a transaction. The wallet application may contain payment devices and/additional wallet applications.

  • Patent number: 10911456
Abstract: Techniques for provisioning access data may include receiving, by a first application installed on a communication device, user input selecting an account to provision to a second application installed on the communication device. The first application may invoke the second application and send a session identifier (ID) to the second application. The second application may send a user ID associated with the second application, a device ID, and the session ID to the first application. The first application may then generate encrypted provisioning request data and send the encrypted provisioning request data to the second application. The second application may send the encrypted provisioning request data to a remote server computer to request access data that can be used to access a resource. The second application may receive the access data provided by the remote server computer based on validation of the encrypted provisioning request data.

  • Publication number: 20180174136
Abstract: A property alarm, such as home alarm or car alarm, is analyzed for the nature of the alarm and when indicated causes access to one or more financial instruments to be limited or put on hold. Alarms for equipment failure may be ignored while alarms for an intrusion may trigger limiting access to the financial accounts. In some cases, a cap may be placed on transactions, risk rules for approving transactions may be increased, or a complete hold may be placed on some or all of the financial instruments.

  • Publication number: 20180174146
Abstract: One or more sensors are used to evaluate whether a user of a financial instrument is under duress by evaluating information collected about the user at the time of a transaction. If one or more stress indicators are above a predetermined threshold level, full access to the financial instrument may be disabled. Transaction risk rules may be increased, transaction amounts may be limited, or transactions may be blocked entirely if full access is disabled.

  • Publication number: 20130346173
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a payment service provider to provide benefits through provisional accounts established at in-store checkout to consumers who do not have accounts with the payment service provider to drive use sign-up. The payment service provider may offer cash paying consumers electronic cash stored in provisional accounts instead of any change at a point-of-sale, or offer credit card paying consumers a guest checkout experience to receive discounts, incentives, or rewards. The consumers are asked to provide identifying information such as a phone number of their mobile devices. A provisional account is established and linked it to the identification information if the provisional account does not already exist. Otherwise, the payment service provider may verify that the provisional account has not expired. The payment service provider may send reminders to the mobile devices to encourage the consumers to register an account before the provisional account expires.

  • Publication number: 20130006872
Abstract: A method of performing a payment transaction is provided. Transaction information is received from a payee, which has been provided to the payee by a payor using near-field communications and includes a payment amount and payee account information. A transaction authentication request is sent to the payor, and, after a transaction authentication is received from the payor, the payment amount is sent to the payee. After the payment has been completed, a payment confirmation is sent to the payor. A method for processing a payment transaction using a generated remittance key is also provided. The remittance key, which includes an encrypted alphanumeric key having a payment amount and payment provider account information for a payor, is generated and transmitted to a payee who, in turn, transmits the remittance key to a remittance agent. The remittance agent transmits the remittance key and a payment request to a payment provider who processes the request and transmits a payment to the payee.
