  • Publication number: 20150365178
Abstract: An apparatus includes circuitry configured to determine that one or more neighbor transmission cells have interfering downlink data channels to be transmitted by one or more antenna groups. Virtual configuration parameters are determined for the interfering downlink data channels. The circuitry is also configured to signal, to at least one user equipment (UE) served by a serving cell that is one of the one or more neighbor transmission cells having interfering downlink data channels, the virtual configuration parameters for the interfering downlink data channels.

  • Patent number: 8923459
Abstract: In a wireless modem which comprises a first receiver and a second receiver it is detected whether or not user data transmission is taking place. If user data transmission is detected, a second channel quality value is continuously estimated using the second receiver. If no user data transmission is detected, the second receiver is shut off, a first channel quality value is continuously estimated using the first receiver, and the second channel quality value of the second receiver is continuously estimated using the first channel quality value estimated by the first receiver.

  • Patent number: 7864724
Abstract: A method and corresponding equipment by which a wireless terminal communicatively coupled to a radio access network adapts to gating in respect to a downlink signal from a radio access network carrying power control commands (e.g. the F-DPCH of UTRAN with WCDMA), including gating by the radio access network of either just the power control commands or the channel itself, or gating of reception of the power control commands by the user equipment. The adaptation can include changing values of parameters used in determining when the wireless terminal declares a radio link failure, or instead only changing the procedures used to determine whether a parameter value has been achieved and thus only effectively changing the parameter values (or one or more of the parameters can be actually and effectively changed).

  • Publication number: 20070259682
Abstract: A method and corresponding equipment by which a wireless communication terminal is able to determine whether to obey or ignore a power change command from a base station, in case of the wireless communication terminal gating its uplink of data or control information to the base station, causing the base station to erroneously base some power control commands on simply noise and interference. A corresponding method for operation of a base station is also provided, and corresponding equipment.

  • Publication number: 20030227962
Abstract: Synchronization is ensured in a receiving unit between received DS-CDMA coded multipath signals and a provided code, which signals are provided to a plurality of Rake fingers 1, 2. Each of the Rake fingers correlates received signals of a multipath associated to the respective Rake finger with the provided code. In order to enable a reduction of interferences between the multipaths, it is proposed that for each Rake finger an interference from signals of multipaths associated to the other Rake fingers is estimated, based on characteristics of pulse shaping filters employed by a transmitting unit and the receiving unit, on estimated propagation delays on the multipaths and on the correlation results in the Rake fingers. The method further comprises subtracting the respective estimated interference from the correlation result in the corresponding Rake finger. The invention relates equally to a corresponding software, ASIC and receiving unit.
