Abstract: A personal watercraft has: a hull; a deck, a straddle-type seat; a motor; a jet propulsion unit; a steering column support; a steering column pivotally connected to the steering column support; a handlebar connected to the steering column; a steering arm connected to the steering column; a push-pull cable connected between the steering arm and a nozzle arm of a steering nozzle of the jet propulsion unit; and a steering damper disposed between the handlebar and the steering column support. The steering damper has: a first portion connected to the steering column and being movable with the steering column; and a second portion connected to the steering column support, the steering column being pivotable relative to the second portion, the first portion being movable relative to the second portion, movement of the first portion relative to the second portion damping pivoting of the steering column about the steering column axis.

Abstract: A frame assembly for a motorcycle and a motorcycle. The motorcycle includes a front frame structure; a front wheel; a rear frame structure including a first half-frame and a second half-frame body connected to the front frame structure, the second half-frame body being laterally spaced from the first half-frame body; and a crossmember connected between a rear portion of the first half-frame and a rear portion of the second half-frame; a rear wheel; and a motor operatively connected to at least one of the front wheel and the rear wheel. The crossmember has mounting points for selectively connecting a plurality of vehicle components, the plurality of vehicle components including at least two of: a driver seat, a passenger seat, a rear fender, a seat cowl, and a taillight.

Abstract: A strap anchor for securing an accessory to a vehicle with a strap includes: a mounting portion including anchor base configured to engage an upper surface of an accessory receiving base connected to the vehicle and an anchor lock connected to the anchor base, the anchor lock being configured to be inserted through an aperture defined by the accessory receiving base; and a pivoting portion that is pivotably connected to the mounting portion about a pivot axis, the pivoting portion including a strap-receiving part configured for engaging the strap therewith. The strap anchor is configured to be removably fixed to the accessory receiving base by inserting the anchor lock through the aperture and turning the mounting portion such that the anchor lock is prevented from being extracted through the aperture. A method for securing an accessory to a vehicle using a strap anchor is also disclosed.

Abstract: A personal watercraft includes a hull, a deck disposed on the hull and a seat assembly supported on the deck. The deck is disposed on the hull. The seat assembly includes a seat portion, a backrest and a blocking system. The seat portion is selectively connected to the deck. The backrest is selectively connected to the seat portion. The blocking system is operatively connected to the seat portion, and has a first configuration permitting connection of the seat portion to the deck in response to the backrest being disconnected from the seat portion, and a second configuration preventing connection of the seat portion to the deck in response to the backrest being connected to the seat portion.

A sensor is connected to at least one of the hull and the deck and is communicating with the motor control unit. In response to the seat support being connected to the deck, the sensor detects a presence of the seat support, and in response to the sensor detecting the presence of the seat support, the motor control unit limits at least one of the at least one parameter associated with the motor. A method for adjusting performance of a personal watercraft is also provided.
