    Abstract: A diagnostic device for testing a lighting fixture apparatus is provided. The lighting fixture includes at least one ballast configured to receive a dimming test signal. The diagnostic device includes a controller module configured to trigger a test sequence when the ballast receives the dimming test signal. An output current of the ballast is adjusted in accordance with predetermined values of the dimming test signal, the adjusted output current setting a dimming level of the lighting fixture.
