Abstract: Tie-layer adhesives for styrene polymer resins are provided. The adhesive compositions suitable for use in multi-layer film and sheet constructions are blends comprising ethylene-butene-1 LLDPE resins, styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymers, graft-modified polyethylene and, optionally, ethylene-propylene elastomers.

Abstract: Functionalized propylene polymer compositions useful as coupling/compatibilizing agents are provided. The compositions are a mixture of two different functionalized propylene polymers. Polypropylene composites containing fillers and/or non-compatible resins and formulated using the mixed functionalized coupling/compatibilizing agents are also provided.

Abstract: Improved multi-phase polypropylene composites are provided. The compositions are comprised of a polypropylene base resin, a non-compatible dispersed phase which can be a polymer or filler material and a propylene-ethylene copolymer grafted with a carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative.

Abstract: Cellulose-polymer composites characterized by the cellulose component being thoroughly encapsulated by the polymer component, varying density which allows high strength over a wide range of temperatures and generally low weight are provided. Composites may be extruded or coextruded into a variety of products including wood-like decking materials with natural wood coloring and texture. Processes related to the manufacture of the composites are also provided.
