  • Patent number: 9409164
Abstract: A tissue tray for collecting and organizing tissue biopsy samples as they are analyzed and prepared for histological analysis and other analyses. A tissue tray includes an upper surface and a bottom surface, at least one compartment formed in the upper surface of the tray configured to receive tissue and having one or more fluid conduits passing between openings in the upper and bottom surfaces, and at least one marker configured to indicate the orientation of the tray such that the tray is in the same orientation during radiological analysis and pathological analysis. Methods for fabricating the tray and methods for using the tray are also disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20100076473
Abstract: A tissue slicer having a partially open base for permitting the slicing blades to transverse therethrough, a dual pivoting member for activating the sliding blades in a vertical direction, a blade cartridge with a plurality of blades and a multi-pin specimen holder. The device secures the tissue specimen without distortion in place during the slicing process, protect the user while cutting specimens, standardizes tissue sections for optimal processing, improves the quality of sections for microscopic evaluation, and improves diagnostic accuracy and reliability.

  • Publication number: 20050197937
Abstract: In an approach to financial management, a data representation is formed that defines a number of data elements and relationships between the data elements according to one or more regulatory requirements. Data characterizing availability of particular ones of the data elements for a financial institution are accepted, and actual or potential compliance by the financial institution with at least some of the regulatory requirements is then analyzed. The analysis can include identifying gaps in collection of values associated with the data elements for the regulator requirements, which can relate to calculation requirements and/or to reporting requirements for the regulations. Data representing computations associated with the regulatory requirements can be stored and the computations can then be executed to validate other implementations of the calculation.
