  • Publication number: 20230060101
Abstract: A method by a wireless device includes determining that a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) is unavailable to the wireless device and/or will be unavailable to the wireless device. The wireless device determines not to perform an inactive mode or idle mode procedure during a period of time when the NTN is unavailable to the wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20200374083
Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a method performed by a network node comprises transmitting a transmission of system information. The transmission comprises coded bits obtained by reading from a circular buffer. The transmission is transmitted in a first set of subframes corresponding to subframes #4 of a plurality of radio frames. The method further comprises transmitting an additional transmission of the system information. The additional transmission comprises additional coded bits obtained by continuing reading from the circular buffer. The additional transmission is transmitted in a second set of subframes corresponding to subframes of the plurality of radio frames other than subframes #4.

  • Patent number: 7369889
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting cardiac events in electrograms has a feature extraction unit that derives features of the cardiac events for discriminating among different types of cardiac events. A clustering unit groups cardiac events with similar features into respective clusters defined by predetermined cluster features. The feature extraction unit determines a feature vector describing waveform characteristics of cardiac events in the electrogram by a wavelet transform. The clustering unit determines the distance between the feature vector and corresponding cluster feature vectors in order to assign the cardiac event in question to that cluster which results in a minimum distance, providing that the minimum distance is less than a predetermined threshold value. A heart stimulator provided with such a cardiac event detecting apparatus detects the occurrence of an arrhythmia and appropriately controls a pulse stimulator to treat the arrhythmia.

  • Patent number: 6196770
Abstract: A cutting insert includes a top chip face, a bottom surface and side faces extending therebetween. At each of the end faces the cutting insert has axially protruding portions, each of which having a bevel. Main cutting edges are provided by the intersection between the top face and respective side surfaces. On each side surface there is provided a clearance portion formed on a protruding portion of the insert body which via a step extends into a secondary helically twisted clearance surface, the chip angle of which increases with increasing cutting depth. With the cutting insert viewed in plan, the bevel is oriented perpendicularly to the main cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 6193446
Abstract: A cutting insert includes an upper chip surface, a bottom surface and side faces therebetween. At each of the end faces the cutting insert has axially protruding portions, each of which appears with a bevel face. Main cutting edges are provided in the intersection between the chip surface and the side surfaces. On each side surface is provided a clearance surface formed on a protruding portion which via a step clearance extends into a secondary helically twisted clearance surface, the chip angle of which increases with increasing cutting depth. The upper face includes along the main cutting edges a planar inclined surface with constant width that extends inwards and intersects with an upwardly inclined secondary chip breaking surface.
