  • Publication number: 20230412224
Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for CSI reporting on protocol layer 2. A method is performed by a wireless device. The wireless device is served by an access network node on a serving beam. The wireless device is configured with event conditions as to when to provide the CSI reporting to the access network node and with reporting configuration as to how to provide the CSI reporting to the access network node. The method comprises obtaining CSI values by monitoring candidate beams in which reference signals are transmitted by the access network node. The method comprises determining, based on comparing the CSI values to the event conditions, that at least one of the event conditions for CSI reporting is fulfilled. The method comprises sending the CSI reporting to the access network node as a protocol layer 2 CSI report and in accordance with the reporting configuration.

  • Patent number: 11223410
Abstract: A network node is operable in a wireless communication network, and a wireless device (201) being associated with a serving beam (#4) managed by a radio network node associated with the network node. The method comprises obtaining (120) a position of the wireless device, wherein the position of the wireless device is associated with an expected beam. When the serving beam and the expected beam are different from each other thereby resulting in a deviation, the method comprises determining (140) whether the deviation has occurred at least more than once. When the deviation has occurred at least more than once, the method comprises issuing (160) a notification indicating that the expected beam is at least partially obscured with respect to transmissions for the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 10841883
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method, performed by a network node, for handling of specific power reduction for a User Equipment (UE). The network node receives a message from the UE comprising an identification of a specific type of the UE. The network node obtains a reduced power applied by the UE corresponding to the received identification. The network node selects an allocation for transmissions from the UE, based on the reduced power applied by the UE. Embodiments herein further relate to a network node for performing the method for handling of specific power reduction for a UE.

  • Patent number: 10624127
Abstract: A method includes a base station in a distributed antenna system having a set of antennas. For each antenna, the base station stores state information indicating that the antenna is either in a transmit state or a do_not_transmit state. For each antenna indicated by the state information for the antenna as being in the transmit state, the base station determines whether the antenna has been given a clear channel indication (CCI) for a next transmission time interval (TTI). At the next TTI, the base station transmits data to a UE, wherein the base station transmits the data to the UE using antennas included in said set of antennas that i) are indicated by the state information for the antenna as being in the transmit state and ii) have been given the CCI. The base station adjusts the state information in accordance with a transmit status.

  • Patent number: 9705650
Abstract: It is presented a method for determining an initial configuration of generation of uplink reference signals for a wireless terminal, the method being performed in a network node. The method comprises: obtaining at least one parameter used in a random access procedure associated with the wireless terminal, wherein each one of the at least one parameter is associated with the wireless terminal; and determining an initial configuration for the wireless terminal for generation of uplink reference signals, based on the at least one parameter. A corresponding network node is also presented.

  • Patent number: 9699803
Abstract: Scheduling information for a wireless device may be transmitted from a first node of a network to the second node of the network wherein the scheduling information defines a plurality of time slots for UpLink transmission from the wireless device. After transmitting the scheduling information to the second node, a UL signaling grant may be transmitted to the wireless device for one of the time slots defined by the scheduling information. A UL transmission may be received from the wireless device at the first node over the time slot of the UL signaling grant. Information may be received from the second node relating to the UL transmission over the time slot of the UL signaling grant. The UL transmission may be processed at the first node using the information from the second node relating to the UL transmission from the wireless device.
