The method of the present invention examines the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of a user equipment (UE) during HO and, based on the examination, determines whether Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) or circuit switched (CS) over Long Term Evolution (LTE) using a Generic Access Network Controller (GANC) should be used in the HO.
