Abstract: In an object-oriented programming environment having a hierarchical object structure an object type is defined by declaring different types of objects and properties associated therewith. A base type is declared. Properties for the base type are declared. A set of aggregated objects comprising individual objects of different types is declared. The set of aggregated objects is to be instantiated in a master object created from the object type. A set of auxiliary objects comprising individual objects of different types and associated with the object type is declared. The individual objects of the set of auxiliary objects are to be instantiated in respective locations in the hierarchical object structure.

Abstract: There is provided a method, apparatus and computer program product for controlling parameters of objects in a building control system, the method comprising receiving input from at least one of the objects, wherein the at least one object is associated with a first subset of objects; selecting at least one parameter, wherein the at least one parameter depends on the input; selecting a second subset of objects from the objects, wherein the objects of the second subset are selected based on the at least one selected parameter; and performing a first action on objects in the second subset of objects.
