Patent number: 9387939Abstract: A commonly assumed operational requirement for a multi-rotor vehicle, often referred to as a “Quad-Copter” or “Quad-Rotor”, is to have onboard a minimum of three motors, in order to provide a stable hover, and more frequently as many as eight motors. The Twin Propeller Attitude Control (TPAC) Air Vehicle, using a hybrid control system, needs only two motors, in order to achieve full control of altitude, pitch, roll and yaw. Pitch control is achieved by means of differential thrust, while roll and yaw control is accomplished via thrust vectoring. In the event of loss power of one or both engines, a parachute will be automatically released.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2012Date of Patent: July 12, 2016Assignee: LAPCAD Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Gert Magnus Lundgren

Patent number: 9327424Abstract: Electric saw being powered by an external power supply through a multicore cable. The multicore cable includes electrical wires for supplying power to the motors of the electric saw and communication wires for data communication between the electric saw and the power supply. Two motors of the electric saw are three phase permanent magnet motors, with an outer rotor and an inner stator. Each of the two motors has three Hall Effect sensors located around the outer rotor.Type: GrantFiled: February 29, 2008Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: HUSQVARNA ABInventors: Andreas Jönsson, Magnus Lundgren, Bengt-Allan Bergvall

Patent number: 9168670Abstract: An electric power tool (100) includes a power source (102) enclosed in a casing (104). The power source (102) is a brushless DC motor (202) which drives a drive mechanism (106) for a cutting device. Further, an oil pump is at least partly housed in the casing (104) of the electric power tool (100). The oil pump is also driven by the brushless DC motor (202).Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2010Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Assignee: HUSQVARNA ABInventors: Oskar Bergquist, Johan Björnlinger, Johan Svennung, Magnus Lundgren

Patent number: 9139299Abstract: A roadable vehicle with a single nacelle assembly that contains a pair of inline counter-rotating propellers. Two inline counter-rotating engines are directly connected to the propellers. One engine is shut down in horizontal flight to improve efficiency. Gimbal mounting the nacelle assembly permits thrust to be directed forward to back and left to right to control the vehicle position in the horizontal plane, when hovering. Varying the relative engine speeds controls yaw. The roadable vehicle is adaptable as an unmanned vehicle. The foldable wings equipped with automotive type wheels provide for travel off-road as well as on the highway.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2012Date of Patent: September 22, 2015Assignee: LAPCAD Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Gert Magnus Lundgren

Patent number: 9108650Abstract: A rail vehicle brake actuator (1) has a brake block holder (4) suspended therefrom so as to be laterally movable during braking. Upper ends of brake block hangers (5) are attached to brackets (2) on the actuator (1) by a joint (15) allowing relative laterally pivotable and rotatable movements of lower ends of the brake block hangers to the brake block holder. The lower ends of the brake block hangers (5) are laterally pivotally attached to a movable brake block holder axle (16) extending through a transverse bore in the brake block holder (4), and spring mechanisms (21) are arranged to act between the respective brake block hangers and the brake block holder.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2012Date of Patent: August 18, 2015Assignee: Faiveley Transport Nordic ABInventor: Magnus Lundgren

Patent number: 8844860Abstract: A Foldable Rise and Stare Vehicle with a single engine assembly that contains a pair of inline counter-rotating propellers. Two inline counter-rotating engines are directly connected to the propellers. Gimbal mounting the engine assembly permits thrust to be directed forward to back and left to right to control the vehicle position in the horizontal plane, when hovering. Varying the relative engine speeds controls yaw. The Foldable Rise and Stare Vehicle is adaptable as an unmanned vehicle. The vehicle collapses into a flat assembly similar to a foldable beach chair, allowing for convenient transportation.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2012Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignee: LAPCAD Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Gert Magnus Lundgren

Brake block hangers (5) are attached at their upper ends to brackets (2) on the actuator (1) by means of a joint (15) allowing relative laterally pivotable and rotatable movements and at their lower ends to the brake block holder. The lower ends of the brake block hangers (5), which are rigid, are laterally pivotally attached to a movable brake block holder axle (16) extending through a transverse bore in the brake block holder (4), and spring means (21) are arranged between the respective brake block hangers and the brake block holder.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2011Publication date: April 3, 2014Applicant: Faiveley Transport Nordic ABInventor: Magnus Lundgren
